[Music] nice basketball team you guys have yeah
1:03
all the way man yeah they're representing no uh gentlemen welcome to
1:08
Oklahoma City thanks for having us no no thanks for being here town and uh I got
1:13
a filt minan in here and another one going in in a couple hours
1:20
tell tell me where you got it later i'm always I'm always up for Yeah I always up for a good steakhouse so well thank
1:25
you for joining us here this weekend and uh what I'd love to do is go into your
1:30
origins uh on this amazing series uh how did you each What was the casting process like for each of you
1:38
you were You want to go first you were you were part of it before I was um I was
1:46
really okay so that's why I called in first i you know I just went in for a
1:52
guest star role for the pilot so I didn't have to go through all the hoops that everybody else did like the casting
1:58
situation is you read for the casting people and then if you're good enough they deem you worthy to go to producers
2:05
and then if they like you you go to a network audition and then it's a studio level so it's like four levels and it
2:12
all gets very nerve-wracking it takes tremendous amount of time and uh I just
2:18
skated in with like one audition and they booked me for the pilot and it kind of worked out with Lauren and uh it was
2:25
really the pilot was really an audition for me like a heat check and they offered two shows and we said no and I
2:31
freaked out and say yes for God's sake and they offered four and my manager told uh one of the producers to go to
2:37
Warner Brothers and get me a deal and he she he did and I got a deal and I was on
2:43
on the show with one audition nice i skated in the back door man it uh
2:49
doesn't happen like that usually jersey style that's how we do it in Jersey
2:54
that's funny i also came in through the back door of the show i uh I I was cast
3:00
I did the first episode after the pilot so I was on the the second episode overall um and I played uh my the name
3:09
of my role was DSL Installer um and uh
3:14
he for you kids in the audience that's something that people used to need to
3:19
use the internet um um back uh 50 or 60 years ago whenever I was um but uh yeah
3:28
I I I went on and I and I um I played the DSL installer i really enjoyed it
3:33
doing it it was a fun little scene my agent at the time had wanted me to pass on the audition because it was a co-star
3:41
role and not a guest star role which just basically means it was like a one day thing and it's a little you know and
3:47
and they're like "You're doing guest stars now." I'm like "No let me read it if I like the scene I'll go do it." Um
3:54
which is good advice to remember like it's about the material it's it's always
3:59
should be the most important thing um and I understood the tone I felt like and I I sort of got the the style of the
4:06
show and it was a really fun scene and I did it with Lauren and I thought that was it and I went about my business and
4:12
then um a couple weeks later my manager got a call saying uh hey the
4:19
Gilmore Girls wants to book you again i was like what what that's weird um and
4:24
it turns out that what happened was there was another character who was another uh just day player who was a uh
4:31
delivery guy um and and Amy Sherman Paladino the creator of
4:37
the show had had watched a few actors um audition for this part that they brought
4:43
to producers she saw two or three of them and she didn't like them she said to the casting directors um I I want a
4:50
guy like that guy who played the DSO installer on the on the on that episode
4:55
and um to her to to her credit I will
5:00
always be in debt jamie Rodowski one of the casting directors said "Why don't you just hire that same guy again?" And
5:08
and Amy thought about it and thought that was a pretty fun idea and so she brought me back and then over the course
5:15
of the next couple of episodes that I did um I I think we both sort of without
5:22
ever talking about it really talking just through the work like me reading the scenes and then performing we kind
5:29
of figured out who this character was over the course of like three or four episodes and then I and then she really
5:36
and then we really enjoyed the running joke she she enjoyed the running joke of Kirk working everywhere so every time
5:42
you know she needed every time she needed a little scene that had some comic relief or a new spot in the town
5:48
that we hadn't seen yet she would have me pop up and working there so um I took
5:54
a I took a work away from a lot of other actors I think but
5:59
but it was it was great and I never thought I was uh I never thought I would
6:05
be with the show for you know even one full season much less you know 25 years
6:11
in counting um it's like it was a very strange experience to keep being asked
6:17
back and then all of a sudden at some point realize oh I'm a part of the
6:23
fabric of this show now like this is I'm here on the show um it took me longer
6:28
than it probably should have to realize that but uh yeah it was it was it's also an unusual story for landing on a show
6:36
and it's it's it's really a kind of miraculous that it took that that soon i
6:42
mean usually takes a while the writers may have a vision in one direction the actors direction but it sounds like
6:48
there was a real sympotico you said you found your character and the writers found your character within three episodes that's something else that
6:53
usually doesn't happen well if you watch the first couple episodes I did it's not exactly he's not exactly Kirk he's a
7:00
little he's a little different i think I was trying to be a little cooler actually than Kirk than Kirk ended up
7:06
being um but it's it it really is sort of like I was finding my seal and it's
7:12
it's interesting because you can't really do that particularly with any streaming show like that like you
7:18
couldn't create a character like Kirk today because first of all um you know
7:24
series for the most part they're the whole season is written before they start shooting and they block shoot so
7:30
many things and they have and the whole thing is already constructed but this was like a little bit almost improvisational that they that hey we
7:37
brought this guy on we'd like him I'm going to use more of him I'm going to write him into the next episode I'm
7:42
writing or whatever and it doesn't really work like that as much anymore
7:49
Still some Cinderella stories that's wonderful what um when you go into a project like this
7:54
you're always hoping for the best but uh in the back of our minds we kind of like okay maybe I can get you know a season
8:00
of this when did you realize that this kind of maybe met expectations and then
8:05
possibly even exceeded them um I mean pretty quick after the pilot
8:13
aired and then the you know the the trades the Hollywood Reporter and Variety have very important critics who
8:22
review shows and the reviews were overwhelmingly good the New York Times everybody was giving it this uh the
8:30
respect that it deserved or even early on before you know the show really found
8:35
its rhythm um because that first season is very interesting you know because when I watch it on the pod you know
8:41
podcast breakdown the episodes the first season always you know the experience with watching the first season is how
8:47
can this episode get better how can this show get better and then the next episode you know episode three it's
8:53
better and then four is better than three and it just and it sort of you know takes seven or eight episodes
8:58
before it like really starts taking off and it's kind of an amazing experience to watch it a show develop that's really
9:05
great to begin with but even exceed exceeded exceed seven eight times um so
9:12
um we I mean I remember the first Amy used to throw the uh Christmas parties
9:18
at her house uh when she lived in LA and uh I remember having a conversation with
9:24
Lauren about it uh uh in the backyard where and we I said this thing's going
9:30
to run in five years she thought you know yeah might go longer so it was kind of obvious that it and it had and it had
9:37
a lot of support at the at the network it was a little fledgling CW kind of a
9:42
thing and um you know we were not getting the numbers that we eventually
9:48
got season 3 and four but it was it was you know was it was an upward hockey
9:54
stick and it was uh you know was it's exciting to be on something like that you know it's making a small noise there
10:00
wasn't a tremendous amount of pressure on us to deliver huge numbers so that that kept it alive so um yeah I mean
10:08
right away we knew we had something special i mean you just had to read the pilot to know special good reviews and as far as the executives concerned you
10:15
were getting on base absolutely hitting singles all over the place yeah and that adds up
10:21
runners for each of you what was the what was the craziest day you had in the Gilmore Girl set
10:31
you know from from there there there are a few man
10:38
but like every day yeah but you know there was an early one in season one
10:44
that um that um we were doing the
10:50
Revolutionary War reenactments and we had this Warner through the fake
10:56
snow um at night and it was a whole row of us
11:03
and we're all dressed as um it it was one of the first I mean it was only the fourth or fifth episode I did probably
11:09
yeah in the whole in the whole town and we did a we did a winner walking through
11:15
with all these different little points of of content and you end up you come
11:20
out and serve soup or something to people i I'm giving people soup or tea is this the one where I discovered Max
11:26
and Laurel am I making out or something maybe yeah that episode right but I remember that but I No but I remember
11:32
this yes but but there was one shot and we did um it was a long complicated shot i think
11:38
we did something like 45 takes of that shot i'm not kid it was It's like which is just unreal
11:45
um and um you know I don't mind saying that it's been a long time but the guy who who who played the mayor it's it's
11:52
one of the reasons that Mike Wyers ends up being even though he's he's town selectman he's not he's not ever mayor
11:59
but on that episode there was there was an actor um I'm forgetting his name really is it
12:08
yeah it's No no yeah that's right dave Dave Dave right yes and he played the
12:15
mayor we're learning today that day was so grueling that he said I
12:21
was there and he's like I'm never doing this show again [Laughter]
12:35
i don't think I've ever said that publicly whatever fine you guys will keep that to yourself right
12:43
yeah he it was actually there was a there was an expletative in there as well but I love that part but
12:50
they were doing this so and so he did he's what's that director of the episode you remember i have a guess but I don't
12:57
want to be wrong so but yeah so yeah and and and that was really memorable cuz
13:02
that was that is grueling cuz that snow it's fake snow and it's like made of paper and you're breathing it in and
13:08
that many takes is really egregious um but all of the just one more thing any
13:15
night that we would be in the um in the um Miss Patty's you know hall
13:24
meetings the town hall meetings which you were saying a little bit ago
13:29
you always tried to get out of those scenes like I I' I'd call Amy and say do I really think Luke would not want to be
13:37
it's like the scenes about you and Moralai and you almost die but I don't Yeah Scott wanted to be there less than
13:49
and Luke did not want to be there um but those nights were like they're
13:56
really memorable they were they were hard to shoot they were often on a Friday because then they could just
14:01
shoot until the sun came up right and not worry about the the turnover with the actors and like in every all these
14:07
people would be there sometimes it would be super hot sometimes it would be 120
14:12
degrees we're shooting winter in the middle of August and you're in there just you're like this you got to be
14:19
wearing winter coats and it's like people with fans little fans all over you and at some point Liz Torres and
14:26
Sally Strs would get like like punch drunk and
14:31
maybe real drunk i don't know but they would know they would like start getting loopy and start singing show tunes and
14:39
Sally would start dancing with background actors and it would just like everything would go off the rails and
14:44
those are very memorable very memorable times oh yeah but I That's it then we we
14:52
always had this big tube this big yellow spiraling snaky like a giant slinky
14:58
covered in yellow mesh that that pumped in the AC and it always broke down you
15:04
You'd get a little relief and you're like "Ah." Then it would break down and you just start sweating again it was
15:09
brutal oh man well thank you for indulging my capacious curiosity before
15:15
I go out there and take their questions though on behalf of everybody I just want to thank you both i want to thank you for your talents especially
15:23
for the performances you brought to these shows and and your assembled careers you both of you guys have had a
15:29
tremendous body of work and you brought so much joy and entertainment to everybody thank you both look I just
15:35
feel just for the record I that role and I'm sure Sean feels the same way i don't
15:40
speak for him but it's we were lucky to get those parts that was a time when movie stars were starting to cross over
15:48
into television so you know Amy fought for each one of us to be in those roles
15:53
because she had a vision of each role very specific and you see her writing it's very specific all the voices are
15:59
different and unique none of them sound the same um all different rhythms and cadences and it's just kind of a miracle
16:07
of a show and to be selected is just like the luck of my career you know and
16:14
I just looking back on it 25 years later the experience is surreal and I can't
16:19
believe I'm able to be in places like this with y'all and and 25 years later
16:25
Sean and I are sitting sitting around you know having fun reminiscing in front of an audience i mean it's it's just
16:30
really a gift that keeps on giving i just it it it could have it could have
16:35
gone to any number of name actors but Amy fought for every one of us and that's the thing about Amy is to to to
16:41
produce a show like this and to create a show like this and to sustain the quality the way it was sustained takes a
16:48
very strong stubborn showrunner and that's what we had because she fought
16:54
all of these fights you know saying "No I'm not going to impose that storyline no I'm not going to make them get
17:00
together sooner no I'm not going to have more you know sex in it and all this kind of you know what I'm saying so
17:06
that's what it takes and you don't that's rare it's very very rare so just thank you all you know
17:13
[Applause] feel very lucky i I I would just echo
17:19
that briefly it's like yeah I feel incredibly grateful and you're right she fought for all of us for example Kirk
17:25
might have been played by George Clooney for example um it wasn't she fought for me so I really
17:32
Yeah I heard Clooney did want the role oh yeah did want the role he's beat me out believe me no but yeah it is i'm
17:40
just really grateful to be a part of it and I I in some ways I wish I was more grateful at the time i was I was a
17:45
younger actor and I was more like you when your career kind of first starts to
17:51
get going it's more about it's often more about the next thing than the thing you have in the moment and there are
17:58
times when I think I I I I wish that I had u like a lot of things when you're
18:03
you know younger I wish that I had sort of um realized some of it a little better than I did
18:10
and tomorrow uh we have a private event going on with the two of you we have uh Yes yeah we have and uh it was closed
18:17
off but I believe they've opened up more slots so if anybody would like to join us at 9:00 tomorrow uh we're doing a
18:31
yeah this is at 9:30 like I said go to the
18:37
website check it out i believe that there there are tickets available if you want to want to join us in the morning sky was worried he'd still be at Pilates
18:43
at 9:00 if I don't get it in I'm cranky all day
18:52
my schedule is said 9:30 thank you for clarifying that all right all right let me jump out of here
18:59
well you you parked up and you were there so okay you absolutely deserve that hey first of all what's your name kennedy Isaac okay Kennedy what do you
19:06
want to know i want to know this question is for both of you about your if you're team Dean Logan or Jess
19:15
[Music] i like Logan now
19:22
my my test is in 10 years they had three kids who's
19:31
you know and I don't want to sound so you know jaded but it's like who's more likely to cheat
19:39
after 10 years of marriage and three kids is it Logan it's like levels of dissatisfaction
19:45
because you know you know marriages are bumpy things and mine is not like that at all it's
19:51
just so um I'm not speaking from experience so I I don't know i just
19:58
think Logan turns out better 10 years in with a couple of kids uh and his
20:05
inevitable success I kind of think his success is inevitable um and I'm not so
20:11
sure about uh Jess you know and that's just it's just it's it's so close it's
20:18
like just it's a photo finish you know what I mean so it's like Logan by a nose
20:23
or another no I won't
20:28
not I I'm team Rory doesn't need a man to define
20:36
which is both a cameraman answer and it kind of shows off Scott because he does
20:42
just answer the last question i know I know I didn't mean to do it so
20:50
I Yeah no I I uh that's been my stock answer for that question for for a long
20:56
time um I don't know i I mean that in in a sense but I also like if I had to
21:02
choose one I would probably agree with that Logan's probably the best match
21:09
who do you think yeah what team are you what do you think i am team Logan
21:16
most are Jess right jess and very few teams no
21:24
yes and do you have a team logan there you go there you go well great one
21:30
to start us off with thank you hey what's your name
21:36
if you could give your character one piece of advice what would it be
21:43
you got to move out of your mom's house
21:49
you got a girlfriend you know you can't be hanging a sock on the door
21:56
when your girlfriend's over to the basement door um yeah I think that would
22:02
be the I I appreciate that Kirk is sort of the you know the whole thing of Kirk
22:08
is that he's like a he navigates the world like a 10-year-old you know he's
22:14
like very he's like really wants to to play by the rule like the rules are very
22:20
important to him following the rules are important but he will occasionally but he will still lie and like thinks he's
22:26
being naughty when he's it's really weird but you know and so yeah I would say step one is move out of your mom's
22:33
basement you know how I think of Kirk sometimes is like I think a good spin-off would be like Kirk with power
22:40
would be like really scary right and funny and entertaining that's you know let's pitch that Gordon
22:47
i love it good one thank you hi what's your name
22:52
my name is Audrey um and my question is kind of tricky so let's see if I can figure out how to word it right um but
22:58
it's about taxes cuz Kirk has 3 million jobs um so what's your best guess on how
23:11
i think he just broke my brain maybe it's just all cash i don't want He just moved all cash and you aren't
23:18
reporting yeah I don't want him he's not reporting it yeah he definitely cheats on his taxes no doubt about that i don't
23:26
know i I Oh man i don't even like to think about that i don't know how we would do it i think Luke would advise him not to report and just take
23:37
that one that one hi what's your name stevie um so I'm curious if you think that Luke
23:44
or Kirk could ever be best friends or if you think that Luke is too annoyed by Kirk
23:51
i don't think I don't think you need to define Luke by
23:58
his friendships with that
24:04
yeah no I I don't know that I mean Luke would never come to Kirk for advice i
24:10
mean but he would in if the show where Kirk had power right
24:16
i think like alone something whatever it is i need Christopher kid you got any
24:23
guy next day you see send it you mean power like um I mean like real power not
24:28
like magic not like magic no no no that's a different fandom together that
24:33
would be bad yeah I don't know about that but you know Yeah yeah yeah like Kirk is a politician or something yeah
24:40
right right i think he probably from a small he wants to take over for Taylor
24:45
you would imagine yes but from a from Stars Hollow and then he ends up in Washington it's like Mr kirk goes to
24:51
Washington i I want to do that soon
24:56
i think it's possible that Kirk does consider Luke his best friend i I think that's probably true
25:04
what do you think we had tender moments i think that that Kirk would ask a lot of relationship advice and they would
25:16
well but he's very he's very fatherly with Kirk in the Lulu advice right
25:21
wasn't there a scene we had oh yeah very nice touching scene we had
25:27
who remembers it i mean there's people out there that know the show chapter right and it was what what was I does
25:34
shout it out what was the advice there was an episode that um
25:39
shout it from the rooftops there was an episode um that Kirk was going to break up with Lulu and Luke goes "You're
25:46
insane if you do that because for some reason Lulu worships you and nobody
25:52
knows why." So okay sounds good okay set up front now
25:57
because you know you're now our Wikipedia [Applause] and hometown no there's there's always a
26:05
couple it's amazing fan base the knowledge yeah I think you got it great
26:10
thank you hi what's your name hi my name is Kim um I was wondering if Kirk and
26:16
Luke went to Comic-Con or Galaxy Con how do you think that day would go and do you think that they would cosplay as
26:27
knowing my mind right kurt might cosplay as Luke
26:36
[Applause] and Luke would not find that funny
26:42
i don't know i think it's like you know again it's like the little kid thing like Kirk would be super into it
26:48
whatever we're going to do this right and he wouldn't want to go he want to he would want to go do something else right
26:54
oh fashion now Jess tried to cosplay me that that
27:00
didn't end well for Jess i think with Kirk I'd be a little more patient or
27:05
understanding what do you see their characters cosplaying as i don't know i kind of see
27:10
Kirk as kind of like I feel like he would cosplay as like one of your other characters from like other projects i
27:17
feel like Luke would either be dragged by Lauraai or something that Lauraai would want to see everything and he'
27:23
just be like "Okay like you can buy that." That's what I think but I don't think he
27:28
would cosplay as anyone i think he'd be like that's stupid i think Luke's version of cosplaying
27:34
something is he just wear a different color hat or something that's the extent of it or he wouldn't wear plaid it would
27:40
be like a you know one color good meta question thank you hey what's
27:47
your name christa uh was there ever something your character did that annoyed or angered you yourselves like
27:54
you were embarrassed or frustrated with them um
28:00
you know not knowing what in vitro was
28:05
me i didn't like any I didn't like any of that
28:10
that's all I'm going to say um yeah the Well for me it was just
28:17
physical stuff that I had to do that was like unc like that like the hot dog suit was not comfortable to wear it was just
28:25
like it was just like planks of wood resting on my shoulder for that whole that whole thing i hated doing that same
28:32
with the the um you know I had to learn how to walk on stilts which it was fun
28:39
but it was like there's three foot stilts and 5 foot stilts and they're like no we're doing the five foot and
28:45
and we're like how many how much do you really need to see this in order to shoot it it's like you you really have
28:51
to learn so like I really learned to walk on stilts um so yeah for me it was
28:57
always like just being lazy and stuff I didn't want to do but in terms of being in character um I don't think so
29:04
although I'd have to I would go back to looking at season 7 after Amy was Amy
29:10
and Dan were off the show because there may have occasionally been things there that were like
29:15
or it was like just off you know the hot dog suit brought great joy to that set i
29:22
can't even begin i mean he was suffering he really truly was but and we cared but
29:28
not that much it's like but you're bringing so much joy just suck it up Buttercup you know and it was just so
29:35
great to see him all day in a in a hot dog and and that's look if you're down in the dumps get a hot dogs be aware of
29:42
that thing and it'll just bring joy i've said before that I wore a metaphorical hot dog suit for the entire
29:49
run of the like that's kind of what I did in a in a cosmic sense i was always wearing a hot dog suit
29:57
fun one thank you hi what's your name hi I'm Danielle and I wanted to ask so for
30:03
Rory's baby what do you think Laura would have demanded Luke be called
30:09
because she would not let you be called grandpa and what would Kirk insist to be called for little Roy's baby
30:23
i mean not grandpa no way uh Papy Py
30:29
pops i don't know pop papa Luke i know
30:34
this is why I didn't write the show you know like but I I agree with you that
30:40
Kurt would demand to be called something and I don't if you have a good suggestion uh I heard somebody back here
30:51
yeah say that Shatner's going to blame his turf i don't know that guy's
30:57
scary yeah i don't know kiki
31:04
all right you You stumped him good job all right hi what's your name megan um I
31:10
was wondering if it was ever difficult for y'all to um adjust to the fastpaced
31:17
talking on Never no ridiculous question never it was easy as by next
31:27
no it was No come back i was um I don't know i I enjoyed doing it i
31:36
mean it was sometimes it was like a little bit like you get the note to pick it up and be like really still like I'm
31:43
already doing it really fast that's the only note you get by the way like can
31:48
you can you do it faster like no i remember I remember early on that there
31:54
was an episode it's I can remember it was the episode in the Kirk was working in a in a like video store and um and I
32:02
remember there was like it was it was one of the first episodes I'd done and there were a couple of places in there
32:08
when I wanted to take longer pauses for the sake of the comedy i thought it worked better to like have a little bit
32:15
more of a pause and so I did that when I performed it and then when I saw the
32:22
show when it was on the air they edited it they edited those lines out completely and it didn't work at all it
32:29
was like a scene that I was like "Oh that's not funny at all." And then I and I kind of knew from then on like I have
32:34
to do this i have to I have to like understand how fast it needs to be and I
32:40
need to pace it properly to like hit the jokes and have to rhythm be correct and stuff like that i can't just like like
32:47
like I have to figure this out right right so for editing purposes I think
32:53
you know the Amy and Dan's brains are like give it to us we know we have
32:59
choices in editing that are pauses and slower but give it to us at hyper speed
33:05
so we have those choices that we can go to so we can design a scene and pace a
33:11
scene and structure a scene in the way we see it and and in different types you
33:16
know in different ways so we can make a choice how it works best i mean I think they work on that level so it was they
33:22
know they had the slower pace stuff with the points because you see a lot of the show not not all of it is super super
33:29
fast it's like a lot of the Lauraai and and you know when it's when it's supposed to be fast it's really fast but
33:35
it's not all like that it's like there are pauses there are dramatic pauses in it and there are pregnant pauses and
33:41
there's also for the for the humor to really pop you know there has to be those things so that exists in the shop
33:47
you know cuz people that haven't seen it say "Well it's also fast." No not all of it is you know so
33:53
it's layered it is layered great question thank you hi what's your name
33:59
taylor my question was what are your honest thoughts on Taylor Bozy
34:05
just just a dynamo michael Wonders is a dynamic actor uh I loved working with
34:12
him every second and he You know if you want to watch somebody who is a polished
34:18
stage actor and really commits to a character and isn't trying to be likable
34:25
but just trusts the material that's your guy i mean just a brilliant performance
34:32
and I I just can't say enough good things about him he brought so much to that show i mean just a brilliant
34:38
brilliant performance every time you saw I mean to see his joy in a town hall meeting when he was in charge
34:46
the way he would gloat and pre his I mean it was just brilliant that what he did so I I I love the man just love the
34:53
man I I um I think Mike Wyers I totally agree and I think in a lot of ways I
34:59
think he's the single most underrated actor on the whole show because he would
35:04
have you know he would have reams of dialogue just like a lot of the other
35:09
actors did but at least you know Lauren Alexis and Scott and Kelly would have they have moments of like depth and and
35:17
drama and more layers to what they did um Mike would would often just have two
35:24
pages of exposition with jokes from you know and just like all the time plus
35:29
he's playing a character that's not super likable so like when you say "Who's your favorite character on the
35:34
show?" a lot of people his character is supposed to be kind of annoying so you
35:40
know when when you're really good at that you're also not you're not kind of like right at the forefront of
35:46
consciousness but he's carrying the ball in a lot of those scenes when those town hall scenes and a lot of the a lot of
35:52
the stuff in the town he's doing so much heavy lifting and um he's just an
35:58
unbelievable unbelievable actor yeah he's he's a force of nature yeah i mean just watch him in his scenes man he's
36:05
just carrying everything it's just beautiful to watch that guy i mean he's so connected in every single moment you
36:12
know he doesn't miss a chance to really fill something with behavior a gesture i
36:17
mean it's it's amazing to watch him i love watching him great question thank you hi what's your name brooke yeah uh
36:25
how was filming a film by Kirk and how was like for the other casts watching it for the first time
36:32
oh um it it was really something um it
36:37
was you've seen it now i mean you know um first of all it was cool to be to
36:44
have these actors that I I was familiar with their work like uh Marilyn Rexov and and uh and the great um John Pledo
36:54
and and to like have them all of a sudden show up and just be in this weird scene they weren't characters on the
37:00
show you know and um and uh and so that part of it was fun and then the dance
37:06
was just like they were just like "Let it rip Sean." You know and I um I was
37:14
worried about getting tired out cuz I like it's it's exhausting to do that
37:20
dancing over and over again like I just kind of went for it i mean of the thing
37:25
you know e everything you ever hear on the show was scripted like everything is verbatim all the time but I had some
37:31
some comedy stuff that were physical routines that none of that like that was
37:36
just like Amy and Dan saying just do your thing i'm like "All right I'm a weirdo." So um yeah it was um it was a
37:45
lot of fun to shoot but I'm I'm I'm glad it exists out there in the universe
37:50
great one thank you i'm afraid we're just about time for our last question so what's your name stson
37:57
my question is is uh Sean do you what is your favorite Kirk side hustle and Luke
38:05
when are we going to is there any chance that we're going to see a new thing coming where we see grandpa walk
38:14
favorite side hustle i don't know what do I like
38:20
yeah I mean it's it it is it's like if it's it it goes back to the last question it's like making movies for
38:26
sure that's I think Kirk considers himself a a great aur um so yeah I think
38:33
that would be my favorite thing to do is making the films the the the pure joy of
38:38
a film by Kirk is just I mean it's just the it's a belly laugh every single time
38:44
it's the funniest thing um I'm sorry what the question what what about are we
38:52
going to see anything coming in the future i I don't know i mean don't quote me on this i I you know I know Amy and I
38:58
told a lot of people this at the table because they asked me this question uh Amy mentioned something about if there
39:04
was going to be something at the Paley Festival right she she was being fed at the Paley Festival about a Christmas
39:10
special or something like that in the future but I don't have any information i don't know lauren kind of uh uh pared
39:17
that as well in an interview so I don't know i don't think people leak that kind of stuff without some kind of intention
39:24
um so I'm hopeful you know maybe we'll we'll do a Christmas special we'll all be on ice skates who knows you know I I
39:33
don't know but it would be nice right you guys were lucky and I'm sure
39:39
uh do you guys have any uh upcoming projects that you would be allowed to share with us
39:47
i I've I've I've been authorized to say that I'm kind of in Superman
39:54
and then I Well we know for sure you're in Peacemaker i was going to say yeah and then that character is introduced so
39:59
I have some DC um DC new projects coming up um and doing a second season of
40:04
Creature Commanders at some point you know I I like I love working with my brother when I can so there'll be some
40:10
more of that um you know the projects that I am involved in are on the business side and
40:18
they're ramping up and I have a co-branding co-branding relationship with Warner Brothers and we're bringing a lot of products food products and
40:25
drink products to market um and that's keeping me very very busy because we
40:31
just had a a big conference call with them and and they just threw I don't know 40 SKs at us and we just got got to
40:38
deliver so um but we can handle it and we're handling it and uh that's growing
40:44
exponentially um um and as far as uh acting projects no
40:49
nothing really on the horizon i'm kind of ramping that back you know because uh I want to stay home more and be with my
40:56
family and I have a 10-year-old so I want to be there for him uh and not be on the road so much and these these are
41:02
great things to do because it's a weekend every once in a while away and it's not this huge chunk of time um so
41:10
yeah that's that's pretty much it business stuff business stuff and one final question would you like to take a
41:15
picture with this wonderful audience sure how much do they charge
