I want to welcome sing. Hi you guys.
0:06
You I love you guys so much. Oh my goodness. I I'm so happy. I just I want
0:14
to start by thanking you so much for being here and just letting you guys know that when I am here with you, my
0:20
heart grows and grows and grows and you each touch my life so much and it means
0:26
so much to me and thank you. I am so honored to be here with you. So, thank
0:31
you so much so much. And really, I think
0:36
it's just so much fun when you guys get to ask the questions. So, obviously, if you have any questions, great. But also,
0:43
I love the idea of you guys being the ones to ask the questions. Now, another side note, I didn't realize my skirt was
0:50
so short. So, I think I'm going to take off my jacket and I'm going to cover my
0:55
skirt. Not awkward at all, you guys.
1:00
Okay, excuse me here as I change in front of you all. There we go.
1:07
Want to see that happen?
1:13
Oh my gosh. Welcome to Texas, by the way. Welcome to San Antonio. Welcome to San Antonio. All right. As she said, it's all about y'all
1:19
for the next 30 35 minutes here. So, fire away. Go ahead.
1:25
Great. You belong
1:32
to asking that. It brings so much joy to my
1:40
heart. Seeing beautiful beings like this little one over here.
1:46
Incredible generation of kids growing up. It's so inspiring because the punky
1:52
spirit, cherry spirit, I think lives in all of us. and and she really is um the character
2:00
that gets me through my best moments and my hardest moments and I think you know
2:06
the show taught us so much about individuality and for me I didn't really know where she ended I began and she's
2:13
always been a superhero that I lean into. So seeing generations of kids grow
2:19
up with with the know the experience just makes me so happy. friends dress up
2:26
and and how you know and all it just my heart really grows and ultimately
2:32
stories. Oh yes, of course. Sorry, I forgot about um really thank you. The stories I I'm
2:39
so thankful that each person allows themselves to be so vulnerable and that
2:46
allows me so much healing because it allows me to be vulnerable and so that experience is really special to me. Yes.
2:54
And um you guys, I have to share something with you. I have like the most
3:00
amazing surprise ever who I think may actually be here for the first time
3:06
ever. It's Cherry and I [Applause]
3:18
my best friend driving up from Austin to see me
3:26
and here you go because she really is my best friend. Absolutely. I didn't know she was going
3:31
to have me on the camera. I was like, "Oh my goodness, we are going to have a surprise for Texans,
3:38
[Applause] Cherry." I mean, come on. Right.
3:47
I'm sorry. So much. I miss you. I miss you, too, right? I was trying to crash like an hour ago,
3:53
but all these Californians have moved to Texas. Just totally ruined our traffic.
4:01
I think I love you. I mean, this is just joy. I always say when when we're together and when we got to do the
4:08
continuation, it felt like it felt like laming in a bottle and crying. And this
4:15
feels very much like that, too, because anytime that I get to come together with you, my inner child just feels so happy
4:22
and full of joy and so healing, so thankful with them. Thank you for coming
4:28
so close. I love you, too. Okay. Mama said, "You come this close, I can't take over." [Applause]
4:35
Okay, questions everyone. Yes. I mean, look at that. So amazing.
4:41
What's y'all favorite? Y'all make up for it.
4:48
I mean, cherry the refrigerator obviously, right? So, that one was really fun. I have to
4:54
say I think it was the anniversary, the second part for me when I got to cry in
4:59
the cemetery standing next to you. Oh yes. Yeah. Yes. Yes. Absolutely. That
5:05
I mean there there's so many moments that that hold such Oh my god. Such like
5:12
parts of our heart. It just I mean parts of our life now, too. Yeah. Yeah.
5:17
Can I go again? Yes. Exactly. I know. I'm saying we have to put a petition out here at the convention and just have everyone sign
5:24
it because really like coming back together and and doing it again and having the experience together was truly
5:32
just everything. It was such a joy. I don't know if you guys watch the reboot.
5:39
So I turned 45 when we were doing the reboot and so Leila looked at me one day. You know what I'm saying?
5:45
Tell them. And she said, "Happy birthday." and she had all these overalls and she's so cute and sweet, right? And she looked at me,
5:51
she said, "How do you feel?" And I looked at her and I bust out crying and I said, "I'm 45 years old and I'm
5:57
standing in a treehouse with you. [Applause]
6:03
Does it get any better than that?" No. Exactly. I'm writing so much about you.
6:08
Yeah. Oh, right there with you. Right there with you.
6:15
Right there with you. What she said. Oh,
6:21
I love it. Okay, more questions.
6:31
That's okay. I know. My question was answered because you're
6:37
already here. I was about to ask her how was your relation with Sherry Jones.
6:43
I fell in love with this girl while we were actually doing auditions, like before we got the job.
6:50
Yeah. We were we were drawing and doing totally crazy things that that seven-year-olds didn't do. We were just
6:57
sharing all parts of our lives and we just I remember we were in love
7:03
instantly and we became best friends. Yeah. It was the very first audition too. Like we had a round of what, like
7:08
seven? Yes. and we met each other at the first one and I think they were like running behind because it was a lot of kids.
7:14
Yeah. It was like 50 when they did the auditions there was like more than 50,000 kids that that auditioned. Yeah.
7:21
Yeah. And they auditioned in New York, Chicago and LA. And we were both at the first round in LA. And seven rounds
7:29
later Yeah. we already told them long time ago they weren't listening.
7:37
Well, and then someone had told me that they had gotten the part. So, I was going into the elevator for the last
7:42
audition. Um, oh, and I found out another story years later that actually someone said that my audition called the
7:48
agent and said the audition was cancelled. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Did I ever tell you this? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They
7:53
So, it was like there was like all these things going on behind the scenes that I didn't know about. And um got in the
7:58
elevator and they said that they already got the part and so my mom was like, "Okay, let's go home." And I was like,
8:03
"No way. I'm still going to go for it. I'm going to go for it. The pumpkin power.
8:10
It happened. Oh, so happy. I had no idea. Isn't that great?
8:15
The last audition, they pulled us in a room together to see if we had chemistry, but that was my own girl
8:20
already. [Applause]
8:27
More questions. There's got to be
8:32
no more questions. Oh, y'all think y'all know us already, huh? Really? Are there any questions? Do
8:38
you have any questions? Yeah. See, this is where I come back up. Y'all make me go to work.
8:45
I have a question. First of all, y'all ever been to San Antonio? I have years ago. It's my first time in
8:51
like over 20 years. And here's the crazy thing. That doesn't make any sense because I'm actually only 20. I mean, it
8:58
doesn't make sense. I feel like I'm 20, although I do have a 20-year-old. So, I I don't know. The math doesn't m It doesn't matter, right? But I love San
9:04
Antonio and I love Texas. I love Austin. I just haven't This is my calling to
9:10
come back and spend some more time. And y'all have been so sweet and kind and loving.
9:16
And of course you're a neighbor. You're just right over. Yeah, I was over here in February. Oh, really? Really? Yeah. Well, I mean I
9:22
was in Austin two weeks ago and man, it's just like night and day. I'm a homeschool mom, so we did the
9:28
whole River Rock thing as a field trip in February. Oh, okay. Well, um, did first of all, when y'all
9:36
come to San Antonio, y'all do the tourist thing. You said the riverw walk, right? I was on the river walk last night.
9:41
Okay, now you got me. Okay, please. I hope I don't offend any. I called it a waterfront cuz it felt like a waterfront
9:46
as well. And someone really corrected me that it is a river walk like a lot. Is
9:52
that okay? Am I allowed to call it the military? Very cool.
9:58
What Well, tell us about the revival recently, you know. Oh yeah, so much fun. What was that about? Yeah,
10:03
it was it was the best time ever. I mean, Punky and Cherry like have lived on our hearts for so long and it was
10:11
wild because we hadn't seen each other for a bit and like the opportunity to see each other again and we always
10:16
stayed in touch but to be able to spend time together and it was really like playing make believe and it was just
10:23
such a wonderful wonderful opportunity and so fun and the kids were so
10:29
fantastic and just it was like one of those things we just felt like it was going to go on forever. So, we were
10:35
really surprised um when when when we were surprised. And at the same time,
10:41
it's interesting cuz I feel like this experience being here with you and then Cherry and I are like going to go hit
10:47
the road together. It almost feels like we're living Punky and Cherry in like this physical reality. And I'm like,
10:53
whoa, this is a trip. Like, wow. like like we're really f like we're definitely
11:00
going to go and eat some food and have some cocktails tonight. And I Oh, the
11:05
desk. Oh, by the way, remember we were on the we're on the boardwalk like not too long ago and it's just so much fun
11:11
when people come and share their punky cherry stories with us and I think it's like it's so it's just awesome.
11:18
Awesome. It's so good. Are you laughing? I just love moving on. Moving on.
11:24
Anybody have a hot guy? This is all about you guys right now. This is all for you. Oh, there we go. Okay. Okay.
11:30
So, did you How did you like playing with um
11:36
Oh, I I loved it so much. Melissa is such a dear friend as well. And um she
11:42
actually auditioned for Monkey, which is so we met back at the audition way back
11:47
when. Um have you met Have you spent a lot of time? Yeah, you're friendly. you haven't spent enough time and um Melissa you
11:55
know every they've all been traveling the world all over but Melissa and I such dear friends we were so close in
12:01
our you know late teens 20s I guess and we really had a lot of fun. Um and then
12:07
they were really reinventing the show and I was so honored because I got to audition and it was so cool and I went
12:14
through the whole process you know and it was so exciting when I got it because again it was it was so much fun. We
12:21
would we would have these like little scooters that we would like scooter around kind of exactly what Sherry and I were doing with the scooters. But it I'm
12:28
you know I have a lot of fun. So we had a great time and uh and yeah it was wonderful and she's still such a dear
12:34
friend of my life. Yeah. Sweet. You have a question up here in the front.
12:40
Sweet heart. Like truly I'm loving all this energy right now. I
12:45
am just loving all this. Um, George Games. Um, I I was introduced to him
12:52
through Punky Brewster and then later on the police academy movies. So, so talk
12:57
to us about working working with George and how he had what level of impact he
13:03
had on on both y'all. Absolutely. I
13:08
I love George so much and Susie and the
13:14
adults that were on the set with us were so kind and they were so gentle and to
13:22
be kids as having as much fun as we were, you know, wild running around. I
13:28
mean, literally, we ran away. I ran away once. It was like to Johnny Carson's office, literally. Like I mean we had
13:35
pogo sticks was poboing everywhere. The amount of tenderness and kindness and
13:40
love and respect that they showed us and that George never lost his cool with us.
13:47
He was always so kind. I remember him giving me a diary when I was so young which encouraged me to write. He was
13:54
just kind and gentle and loving. And he also treated us as equals. He never
14:01
looked down at us. He never treated us as anything other than the most loving
14:08
um just most loving person and and I realized it so many years later just
14:13
what a powerful effect that was. I mean I knew it over the years but as an adult myself I realized that incredible
14:20
treasure and gift that he gave us. He let us be kids. I never wanted to be an actor. I wanted to be an architect.
14:27
And so every time we would go on hiatus George would come back. He was from Finland and he would come back beautiful
14:32
architecture books for me. Yeah. Yeah. And he encouraged me. Of course, I
14:38
have no college now, but he encouraged me to go to college and to follow her dream. I still have the books in my
14:44
office now because they're so pretty, but he was amazing. And so was my grandma.
14:49
And I call him my grandma because that's what she was. All right. Anyway, question back there.
14:59
How did they do the Salem character on Sabrina? Cuz he's like he's a black cat
15:05
but you know he's not real but then there was a voice. So was he actually in
15:10
the room when they were filming or did they like do the That is such a great question. He is
15:18
amazing and I feel like okay the cat was in the room and and the person who was
15:24
so wonderful doing the voice was always around. I'm just trying to remember exactly where he was located.
15:31
That is a question for Melissa for sure. But I definitely spent time with the cat
15:36
and I definitely spent time with the person that voiced the cat. So it was a real cat. Well, no. No, it wasn't. No, it was an
15:46
animatronic cat. Oh, I like that word. I don't know if I've ever said it. Animatronic.
15:53
I That's a great word. Did I do it right? Nailed it. Nailed it. Grab a
15:59
question at the back there. What do you think Roxy's rel What do you think Roxy's relationship with Sabrina
16:05
would be like if Roxy found out Sabrina was a witch? Ooh, I think that Roxy was like super
16:13
tough, hardcore with a heart of gold. And I think she's like a total fault and
16:19
that she would have been like for sure Sabrina's best friend and would have had
16:24
her back and would have just been really protective over her and uh would have definitely kept the secret for sure. No
16:32
question. She's like one of those rider, you know what I mean? Like she's really hardcore.
16:38
She's a friend you want to have. Okay, we have a question up here in the front. I think she's close enough.
16:44
It's not a question.
16:50
I absolutely love ducking people.
16:56
So she showed me the show and I watch
17:03
my duck has a cherry on.
17:09
Oh my goodness. Okay. I guess so much.
17:15
My mom loves I love your mom and I love you and we need to send your mom a video after
17:20
this. Okay. Okay. Or we could or we could FaceTime her. Um a video.
17:25
Oh yes. Great. I've never been ducked. Okay. I have to I have to tell you that
17:31
this is like this is truly one of the most beautiful treasures ever. And ducks are very symbolic to me. And so I I just
17:40
want to say how much this really means to me. Oh my god, you're going to make me cry cuz it like it's so small to me.
17:45
So, thank you so much. You're really like you're like an angel. Thank you. Thank you.
17:52
This gentleman up here in front, he had a question. All right.
17:58
Just so everybody else hear me while they um gathers us up. Cherry um family
18:04
matters. Um so um talk to us about that experience um how it came about and um
18:12
yeah all I had just finished doing Days of Our Lives and I got an audition for the show
18:20
called Family Matters. They were actually replacing somebody and I came into chemistry read with Kelly to be her
18:27
best friend. Initially I did not get the part. Gary Menir did not want me to have
18:33
braces. Gary Menir was one of the producers of Punky Brewster and that's who I auditioned for at the time. And
18:40
Gary didn't want me to have braces. So I went home and I went in the bathroom and I took
18:46
toenails. Yes, I did. You know, my mom had beat me, too. I took her to and I took my
18:52
braces off. My mom was a single mom. She worked. She was like, "What are you thinking? I paid $5,000 for you to have
18:58
braces." I told him if I get the job, I'll pay you back. Eight years later, the show is over.
19:06
But I got the job. It was a It was a wall.
19:12
It wasn't as fun as Monkey. Just a minute. Monkey is definitely my favorite my heart. But I did have a lot of fun.
19:19
Yeah. Okay. Anybody else have a question out there? Okay. We have one right here in the middle.
19:26
There you There's your mic. Hi. I was just wondering if y'all have any pets.
19:32
Great, great question. Do you have any pets? Yes. I've got a dog named Brownie who is
19:37
a shorty and I don't know.
19:45
[Music] Do you see why I love her so much? It's
19:51
insane. I mean, her timing is just impeccable. Um I I have a very special
19:58
doggy who um who I love so much who actually um was actually originally
20:06
belonged to someone whom I love very much who is no longer with us and his
20:13
dog is and so we um we get to carry on
20:18
his spirit through her which is really special and her name's Billy and she's just the cutest and she's so much like
20:25
him that uh she's feisty and wonderful and lovely and yeah, she lights up our
20:31
own. She threw me on the floor and came to set up on that.
20:38
Go ahead. Do you also keep in touch with TK? Oh my goodness. Yes. Once I once in a
20:45
while he'll like send me like I'll get an Instagram or something, but I haven't I haven't seen him in years. We got to
20:51
have a re I did a project and we hired TK. TK is like an old uncle.
20:56
Old is he now? Yeah, he's like 70. What? What are you talking about? He was 30 40 when we did
21:04
I don't even know what you're talking about. I don't TK Carter 70. I think he always has a story. So TK talked to me all the
21:12
way from Austin to Dallas and then told me to call him back when I was on my way back because he didn't want me to ride
21:18
alone. Oh, I almost Oh my gosh, that's amazing.
21:26
I know, right? Yes. Okay, you start the petition.
21:31
Okay, great. Perfect. Casey and Amy, too. Yeah. Yes.
21:36
So fun. Okay, we have a question here in the front. Um, I was just wondering when y'all worked on booster, did it feel more like
21:43
fun or like a lot of work? I didn't know it was a drop. So much fun. It was the most fun. I It
21:52
was so fun. And it was so fun because our families also gave us, you know, the
21:57
opportunity like literally we did sleepovers during work weeks and I it was just we were really able to be kids.
22:05
So it didn't feel like work and at the same time you then go and meet incredible people who were growing up
22:12
with you and we always have had such a love for the community that we've grown
22:17
up with. So it it's so special and so ingrained in our in our hearts, you
22:23
know, and it allowed us to go and travel to so many different places and meet so many people and that's been such a
22:29
treasure in our lives. And we've always been so appreciative of it and are aware
22:35
what a gift it is. And that's I think one of the reasons also, you know, when
22:40
people say, "Oh, how do you feel if they I'm" I'm like, "If they call me punky until I'm 120, I will be stoked. I'm
22:46
like, you can call me Punky forever. How could I be anything other than so
22:52
appreciative for Punky and Cherry and the treasure that
22:58
this journey has been? I'm I'm so thankful. Awesome. That's great. Anybody else have
23:03
any questions for you? Right up here. Oh, we got two. We'll go here in the front. Right here.
23:11
Okay. I have one favorite episode was the one with the aerobics of the aerobics. Yes.
23:17
Did you not remember the routine? No. No. But ask Cherry how e hard it is for
23:24
me to actually do a dance routine cuz we actually had to like do a dance routine for the reboot and it was like literally
23:31
it took me like minutes. My daughter's name is Rhythm. I really don't have any
23:36
so you look at your sho. Your shoes are amazing. Wow. Oh my goodness.
23:45
Was there one more question? [Applause]
23:52
Did you dress like that? Yeah. I mean, yeah, except I wore a
23:58
skirt. They're so short, but like I didn't realize. Um, yeah. I think
24:03
there's a lot I've gone through different stages, but I really feel like when we came back and and did the
24:10
continuation like Punky literally like it was just like like it just melts like
24:16
everything like I I the few things that they let me like keep like these shoes I
24:21
pretty much have worn every day almost since the show. I'm not even kidding
24:26
you. Like I I just love Punky. It just makes me feel so good and Yeah. I mean,
24:31
literally so thankful. Did you say those are from the show? Yeah. Oh, wow. Oh, wow.
24:37
Yeah, that's cool. Yeah. And you brought a lot of your own. You brought them on stage and I Oh, yeah. Yeah. Bring the monkey.
24:43
But you wore some of your own clothes, too, on the show. Yeah. And then the incredible Mona May, such a phenomenal woman um who did the
24:50
costumes and she had done Clueless and was just such the iconic, you know, person to be a part of it. Just amazing.
24:58
Did you get to keep anything from this bed when you were little? Anything from your bedroom?
25:03
You know, I Somebody asked me a great question today about the music box, and I was like, I don't think I got to keep
25:10
the music box. But you know what? I got to take a look
25:16
because maybe somewhere stored away. You know, there's scripts and photographs, but you know, it's funny. I said to
25:21
somebody, somebody asked me um not too long ago, they said, you know, they were talking about the things they collect
25:28
and they said, "What do you collect?" And I turned to them and I said, "I collect memories." And I will say what
25:36
what really has stuck with me is the lifetime of memories that that we have
25:41
together. I have all your merchandising. Like you do everything. I don't I bathing suit.
25:47
She's got bathing suits. What are you talking about? You got this is the craziest thing.
25:53
Lunch boxes. You got books. I know. I literally Somebody will bring something and I'm like, "Wait, there's a
25:58
view binder?" Like, what? I like I discovered the the lunch
26:03
things like that here at the conventions. One of the reasons that I'm having the best time ever cuz it's these
26:09
all these things that you're like all over my Oh my god. I can't wait. I I got to come visit.
26:15
I love you. Anybody else have any questions? Oh, we're here in the front. Uh yeah, thank you.
26:20
I got blue. Oh, it was so much fun. That was also so
26:27
much fun because we got to do it together and it was great. We got to work. We got to leave work.
26:33
Sorry. And do the cartoon. It was We got to leave work. I know. Like during work hours to go do
26:38
the cartoon and we didn't know that we were like going to do another job.
26:44
We were like going to the studio where we got to, you know, Saturday morning cartoon people were in there and walking
26:50
out. We got to meet the people who did Glom. Well, here's some What was the name of the the magical raccoon? Loomer
27:00
Chand the land. The magical land. I don't know what it was.
27:05
It was It was like
27:17
You got a question way in the back. Nice coming to you. Hi. I'm just curious. Is there anything
27:24
new and exciting on the horizon you could look forward to? Yeah. I know. Well, when y'all petition and
27:31
the show comes back for sure. We're always we're we're always so excited to work together. Um do you want
27:38
to start? I was say a punk movie. Yeah, exactly. I mean, right. Punk movie
27:44
would be so awesome. Let's do it. I'm down. Yeah, we should do like punky holiday
27:49
specials. Punky movies. Oh, wait. A Christmas movie. A punky Christmas movie. A very punky Christmas.
27:59
That sounds maybe a different title, but spring break it.
28:04
Yeah, right. Yeah, spring breakers. Punky style.
28:10
Cherry and Punky's very happy winter. What? I was very careful with the
28:15
cherry. Love Halloween. Punky cherry spooky adventures.
28:23
This is going to be so fun. Oh, this is great. So, she's doing a documentary again. Um, so I've been very focused also in
28:30
making documentaries and I love making documentaries so much and I have this documentary called Kid90 that I directed
28:35
that if you get a opportunity, thank you to see it. dad's on Hulu and that um I
28:40
carried a video camera everywhere I went as a kid and then documented all of us growing up and locked all the footage away for many years. And so it includes
28:48
some of my my favorite people to come to conventions like Brian Green who I've been besties with since 10 years old and
28:55
David Arquette and some really beautiful friends. Um so that was an amazing journey, very emotional journey. Um, and
29:03
then I recently just, um, it just came out called The Carters, which is on
29:08
Paramount Plus, which is told through Angel Carter's perspective, um, who was
29:13
the twin sister of Aaron Carter. And out of their five siblings, three have
29:19
passed. And so, um, I was very thankful that they trusted me and that I could
29:24
provide a safe space for them to share their story. So, that is out now. And um
29:30
so a big focus has been the documentaries and and wanting to be able to share stories with people that that I
29:38
feel are really important stories that create conversations around mental health and addiction and all of these
29:45
things. Um yeah, so and also coming of age stories and all kinds of fun stories
29:52
as well. Yeah, it's good. [Applause]
29:58
And I just did my daughter's short film last weekend which was very fun. All right. Yeah, that was great. And I just did a
30:04
guest spot that's coming in. So that was really fun. So yeah, he loved it. All right, we have questions.
30:11
Okay. Well, if you guys watch TV, I have a film called The Block Trilogy that I produced.
30:16
It's really dark. It's nothing sweet.
30:22
We have a question back there. since you worked with the Carters, did you um get to be like really close with
30:28
Nick and did you get maybe tickets to go see him in Vegas? It's a great question. Um I got to know
30:36
I got to know the family really well and um and I was incredibly thankful because
30:43
he hadn't yet shared um about the passing of his brother and the footage
30:49
that you see when he talks about it was actually on my iPhone. Um, and I was
30:55
really thankful that they felt so comfortable. Um, and then to see their conversation with each other was so
31:01
powerful. Um, and then yes, my son and I went on a mother son date to the sphere
31:09
and oh my goodness, let me tell you, I think it was pretty much one of the greatest concerts of all time. I, you
31:16
guys, I became like such a backstreeter. Oh wow. Is that what it's called? A backstreeter? I don't know. It was
31:24
mindblowing. You were a fan. Well, I was a fan before. I just didn't really I
31:32
didn't know all the songs. And then of course when you live in an edit bay and you're listening to it over and over, I
31:37
got really into it. And then my my son became obsessed, you know, cuz my kids listen to me edit because I work so much
31:43
from the house, you know, when we're in the edits together. Uh and so literally like it just constantly in my house. So,
31:50
I became a big- time um supporter of Backstreet Boys and yeah, the sphere was
31:57
awesome and and surprised my son and that was like really amazing and yeah, it was really exciting. We had a one
32:03
night, you know, like adventure to Vegas. That's awesome. Anybody have any questions? Oh, got a couple more. Um the
32:10
mic, are you guys really close to Margo, too, or Yes. Yes, still are.
32:16
Yeah, there's there's still like a family chat with us three. a little bit. Yeah.
32:24
Um, what was it like working with Freddy Prince Jr.? Oh my gosh, this is such a good question. Well, literally, I remember it
32:31
was so cool when he first came on because um we we were we were literally
32:36
talking about it and it was really cool because we were having this conversation and literally as we were talking about
32:42
it, we were on the universal backlot and and I think he was like still deciding like okay like I'm you know is this
32:49
going to you know happen and uh and then literally this couple went and like they
32:55
we somebody was like you guys have to move out of the way or something and literally A couple proposed to each other. Did I ever say the story? Yeah. A
33:02
couple proposed to each other and it was like, "Oh my goodness." Like, "Oh, we're witnessing something." And it was really
33:08
cool because I think that happening like gave the history, you know what I mean? Like it it was this like, "Wow, oh my
33:15
goodness, this is really happening in front of us, you know?" And um and it really allowed I feel like when we
33:22
started for it to feel like you know we could naturally like all come together
33:27
and um and you know he's so so talented. So it was uh it was really great to be
33:34
able to have that opportunity. And also oh Sarah his wife I got to do a
33:43
talk show with when I was 12 years old. I don't know if anybody remembers it. It was girl talk. Let me hear you talk
33:49
talk. It was like so amazing. And so I had such a wonderful time working with
33:55
Sarah. So it was really lovely to be able to see her, you know, on set and
34:00
that it was just it was really great cuz it was like this very full circle moment. It was a little trivia. You know,
34:06
Freddy's first job was on Family Me. What? Yeah. No way. Yeah. For real? Yeah.
34:12
See, learn new every day. Thank you guys so much. This is so fun. Any final
34:17
questions before I let them go? Anybody else? Anybody? Oh, yes. Of course. You'll get the last question. Yes.
34:23
All right. Um, what were your first impressions?
34:29
Oh, first I
34:36
do. You want to go first? I'm just like, do we work with them? cuz we have like broad
34:45
well Johnny Depp was like but then there was also Johnny Staples and there was also Chico large
34:52
well Chico when he came on the set
34:58
um I can say wholeheartedly I think you can actually and I've actually I think
35:05
I've shared this before that um I think you can see one of the first times I
35:12
ever fell in love or at least what love
35:17
like felt like to me at that age which is when Andy Gibb plays the piano on
35:23
Punky and I'm like this I
35:29
literally like you see my eyes and I just I I was just like aruck and I
35:38
remember him coming to your birthday. And he also was just so kind and so
35:47
gentle and so loving and um and I just I saw him and I just the world lit up
35:54
around him. I was just like, "Oh my goodness." Like this is, you know, Yeah. She invited him to my surprise party
36:02
and he came and he came in red leather pants nonetheless. and a
36:08
black sequence jacket. I picked the golf stuff. The golf stuff.
36:15
Give me golf stuff. Well, this
36:24
is how you say Andy Gibb. Come on. No, this is a perfect way to end this conversation for the
36:30
continuation. Till next time. Did he sing piano yet? What are you sing? Oh, he sang the song. It plays in my
36:37
head. I don't I don't know the actual title, but it plays in my mind very often. Very often still,
36:44
but you know, that's like how incredible the impact that someone's kindness can have
36:50
for all the years to come, you know. Awesome. Awesome. Well, this I love you guys. I'm sorry.
36:55
I was going to say I love you guys and I would love to take like a group shot of all of us if possible. Just thank you so
37:01
much. Thank you for your beautiful hearts and love and kindness and for staying to be part of this panel.
37:09
What a what a treat, too. You have a special guest here. We love you and thank you Sherry for
37:15
coming all the way to our very first ComicCon of many. Please, I can make
37:22
this this got to continue on. And before I let you go, your your tables are available tomorrow.
37:28
Yes. Yeah. So if you get to ask a question or you want a selfie picture, you know, I have words here. Go to their table. Go
37:35
there. I won't be here. Well, she'll be with us in spirit. That's this is a very special.
37:40
So will be here. So make sure to go and line up. But yeah, this was a great
37:46
great surprise. She even kept the surprise from me. I know. I wouldn't tell him. I wouldn't
37:51
tell anyone. Let me be fair. She kept the surprise from me, too.
37:57
She she kept saying, "Are you close?" And I was like, "Yeah, I'm close." "Okay, somebody who's going to hang up. Get you." Then as soon as I entered the
38:04
door, they're like, "We have to wait for you. You're going on stage."
38:09
Wow. Yeah. Yeah. She was so secretive about it. She set me up. I love you, Texas. I have to deliver.
38:17
Everybody as well, too.
38:28
Oops. Did you like our show?
38:33
Go ahead. Say goodbye. Goodbye.
