Stephen Amell & David Ramsey | Arrow Q&A (Full Panel) | Big Texas Comic Con 2025
Nov 15, 2025
Recorded live at Big Texas Comic Con in San Antonio (Oct 17–19, 2025). Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen/Green Arrow) and David Ramsey (John Diggle/Spartan) trade stories about the Arrow pilot with director David Nutter and DP/director Glen Winter, the grind and fun of annual crossovers with The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow, favorite villains (Prometheus, Deathstroke), and doing their own fight work. Stephen shares that he’s launching a mid-November Kickstarter for a Code 8 graphic novel with director Jeff Chan eyeing a stretch-goal bridge between films, plus a “notify me” QR at his table. Ramsey talks Diggle’s arc, long-running Green Lantern hints, and shelved spin-offs (Justice U, Canaries). They riff on props they “borrowed,” filming TMNT: Out of the Shadows (Casey Jones), WWE moments, and fan questions from ice-cream picks to best costumes. Auto-captions were lightly cleaned for names and clarity; occasional paraphrasing fixes machine-transcription errors. Filmed by Tales From The Collection.

Let's bring up the stage.
0:05
Steven where Steven [Applause]
0:19
and I was told to make sure to give emphasis on the why this guy's
0:30
seat, y'all. Anyway, you get the whole couch to yourself. Look at that. All for you.
0:38
So, so David, when did it all happen? Exactly.
0:43
It happened when I met this guy, right? Is that true, Stephen? It all happened for him when he met you.
0:50
Look at him. There you go. Hey uh Stephen Little Birdie told me you
0:55
have a little surprise for fans, don't you? Yeah, I do actually. Um
1:00
we are launching the next iteration of what we've done with Code 8. So we did
1:06
the first movie which was crowdfunded. We did the second movie which was a big
1:11
Netflix thing and we are trying to bridge the gap and I am going to be
1:17
launching a Kickstarter campaign to do a graphic novel to go alongside Robbie's
1:22
that is going to tell the origin story of my character Garrett. There we go.
1:28
[Applause] We have a Yeah, I think we do have a Oh, there's
1:34
it's on that side. There we go. Everybody want to look at that screen? Yeah, there it is. Yeah. So, we're going to launch the
1:40
campaign mid November. Um Kickstarter is a really exciting platform to do it on.
1:46
Um it costs money to make a graphic journal. Uh which is why we're doing the campaign. And also to just because the
1:53
first movie was such a wonderful crowdfunding uh experience and uh we
1:58
couldn't allow people to be involved in the second one because Netflix wanted it all to themselves. So, uh, so great
2:07
intense around us. Um, you know, it'll be exciting to bring it back to the fans. We'll get some arrow questions in a bit,
2:14
but just a little bit more like what prompted this, what sparked this for you? Uh, well, Robbie did his campaign and
2:21
uh, it was very successful and uh, I wasn't involved in the beginning of it because I thought I was going to be
2:26
busy, but uh, NBC had other ideas.
2:31
How I have some time on my hands. So, uh, so we're going to be doing the graphic. All right. So, we're going to get like
2:37
the full story, the everybody backstory, all that good stuff. Huh. Yeah. And and the idea with the campaign
2:43
is that, um, we have a goal that will allow us to make the book, but then we also have a stretch goal because we have
2:50
Jeff Chan, our director, has an idea of what he would like to do between the
2:56
second and the third, right, film. Awesome. Yeah, I can't wait. Can't wait. Is there like a website on any social
3:02
media they can go check it out? Yeah, so at my at um I'm going to put it up on my social media pages. Uh there's
3:08
a notify me QR code that's at my table right now if you're coming by for an autograph or anything like that, which
3:14
just will notify you when your campaign goes live. I think I'm I'm going to be in Detroit at Motor City Comic-Con and
3:21
we're going to launch that weekend. Nice. Yeah. Congratulations. Yes. Congratulations. [Applause]
3:29
Maybe you're democratic nominal. No, no.
3:36
All right. Well, we we're going to get some time with you guys in just a few minutes. I'll warm them up for you. Uh
3:41
again, reminder, when it is time for your turn, this aisle. Okay. This aisle. There's a young lady here with the mic there. She's standing up. You want to go
3:47
that side, but not time yet. First of all, welcome to San Antonio. Sorry. Welcome to San Antonio. First time here?
3:54
No, not I was here for the convention some years ago and then I was here in 2023 for the
4:01
Royal Rumble. Oh, look at that. Awesome. The funk will
4:07
roll. You're back. Yeah, you're back. Now you're going to also announce me to get back in the ring, right? Yeah. My wife My wife will divorce me if
4:14
I wrestle again. She said Yeah. She said she said if you want to stay married, you are not to get back in the wrestling
4:20
ring. I broke my last two things that I did. I broke my back in my hip.
4:25
You didn't? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I can understand. And that that encourages you, David, to get in the ring. Get in the ring. Yeah. Yeah.
4:31
Yeah. Right. But she really says, huh? Yeah. I think I might chance it. I'm in
4:36
great shape right now. I might I mean, she just go for it. Just I think she I think she wants to stay married.
4:42
We'll see. We'll see. All right. Well, you said this is not your first time to San Antonio, right? No, a couple years ago I was here for a
4:49
cop. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Fantastic. Yeah. So, San Antonio treat nice good. Yeah, it's great. I need some barbecue
4:54
spots. So, you guys got some barbecue spots. Drop them by my table. Quick, quick, shout out some barbecue
4:59
spots. You got some barbecue spots. Rudies. No, Rudy's has been on the list. Some folks said Rudies.
5:05
Who else? What else? What's that over here? Barbecue. Wo. Blanco barbecue.
5:11
Heard. Okay. What's that? Picking cheese. I heard somebody said
5:18
no. Do not listen to what he just said. Whatever yall do, David, do not listen
5:24
to what he just said. There's a restaurant in Austin, uh, called Love Barbecue.
5:30
What's he called, Stephen? Love barbecue. Love barbecue. Oh, you're serious. There really is.
5:35
All right. Well, let's go and dive into some aerial questions. And I'll start off with you, uh, Stephen here. How did
5:41
you do it? How did you bring up life? How'd you bring in your life? Like, what was your plan? What was your direction?
5:46
Uh, my my plan was to listen to our really great director. Yeah. going all the way back to going all the way back
5:51
to the pilot, David Nutter. Um, you know, the most decorated uh like
5:57
television director in history. I mean, I think he's done something like 20 pilots.
6:04
Um, you know, big shows like ours and then smaller shows like Smallville and Supernatural like me, you guys.
6:11
Yeah, there are small shows, right? Uh, no, but David Nutter had a vision and
6:17
and you know the team with Greg Branti and Andrew Chrysler and Mark Guggenheim um they had a they had a very specific
6:24
vision of what they were looking for. It just so happened when I read the script I had the same type of interpretation
6:30
and so it was just this synergistic moment that uh worked.
6:36
I'm assuming you got auditioned for it or you did or did not. Oh, I did. Yeah, I was the first I was
6:42
the first guy to audition. I had auditioned for that casting director uh some months earlier and David Raport
6:51
and I I gotten a part on 902 and0 also playing a guy that was presumed dead.
6:58
I'm sensing the theme here. So he so he brought me in first and the rest is history.
7:03
Talk about putting on that uniform, that iconic arrow. I mean, people have asked me a couple of times today, what was the best
7:10
part of filming Arrow? And it's it's it's it's a very very simple answer. It's like, I got to wear a superhero
7:15
suit. Yeah. Yeah. Easy easy answer. Yeah. Did Did you get training? Uh, you
7:21
know, obviously you did fighting and all that stuff, but the arrow training. Yeah. I um we we had an archery
7:27
consultant on there, Patricia. Um she she put me through the she put me through the motions uh leading up to the
7:33
pilot. Um, yeah, actually like halfway decent. Awesome. Awesome. Halfway decent.
7:39
Halfway. Halfway. Yeah. You wiped in the divorce. Okay. All right. Dam. What was it like for you joining the the Arrow versse? You know,
7:46
just all of that and just hopping into such a fan driven show. Uh, that was great. You know, but I I'll
7:52
tell you about it. But I I do have a story about Stephen. I always have a story for Steph. I I was We were watching I don't know if I ever told you
7:58
this. Me and the person I was with at the time saw you on hung.
8:03
Oh yeah. And it's weird because I swear to God this is the truth. We're watching it and she this is like what she said to me.
8:10
She said you know that guy. I said no. She's like he's going to be a star. And
8:15
and look we we were both watching and I was like yeah like there was something like just kind of jump off the screen.
8:22
It could have been it was called H. So I don't know. But it's a joke. That's a joke. But it
8:29
my character on hot is huge. I didn't know that. I didn't I only watched that once. Um but yeah. So I I
8:38
just remember I just recall that as you were talking. And you said you did know him. No. No. Didn't know. But I validation. I
8:46
How are you just telling me? I swear it's funny because I I didn't
8:52
know him. Could I have used this speech at 3:00 in the morning in Vancouver in your rooftop? I really could.
8:57
You know, I always saw this. Um, I was doing a show called Blue Bloods and um, Greg Branti, who we just
9:05
spoke about who created the Arrowverse. Uh he and his father used to watch Bloods and they were fans of the show
9:11
and um and they called the producer and the producer um I was just recurring on
9:16
that show at the time and uh he told Mark about it for a good behind called
9:21
my agent and said can we have a meeting and we met and um did a little reading
9:26
for for Mark and said I want you to meet and that was kind of it tested
9:32
but it was it was uh it it was kind of everything kind of lined up. Yeah. What what did you like about playing your
9:38
character? Well, I like that he wasn't in that we could make him up. He didn't have fresh, right? We didn't
9:45
have any lore to fall back on, so we could kind of um make it up as we along. Yeah. Middle of Spartan and all that.
9:51
Spartan and it was great ride. Did you like his arc? I did. I I was I you know, I thought he
9:57
might die though. Really? Yeah. I mean, he's tailor made. He's the driver,
10:04
bodyguard. You got to kill him. And he what? He died
10:10
like he said. Yeah, man.
10:15
But um I'm glad they they spared a brother. And uh
10:20
there's still time. And there's still time. There's still time, bro. But yeah, it was it was I I I didn't I wasn't sure. But after it took
10:28
off, man, it was it was just I mean, it just it just took off like nice and
10:34
scream. Hey, is that Spartan? Did that ever happen to you? No. No. Well, can somebody do it for him? Can
10:40
you just say, "Hey, is that Spartan?" Spartan. Oh, now what's happening?
10:46
Usually his hand that diggled, not smart. All right. You know, Stephen, you
10:52
know, you're seeing obviously tons of fans here. By the way, raise your hand if you saw every single freaking
10:57
episode. Look at that. Every single episode. Yeah. When you see that kind of love, what does that mean for you?
11:04
Oh, I listen um it's making arrow was a very special time in
11:11
my life. Uh it remains special. Um I
11:16
at least once a day someone's like arrow
11:22
still to this day. I'm going to do it right now. And oh, there it is. And uh and I mean I
11:27
mean I'm just chomping at the bit. My son is
11:32
um just like three and a half. Yeah. I'm going to wait till he's like five. He has no idea.
11:40
Are you anticipating for that moment where he looks at dad, looks at the TV or comment? That's the goal.
11:46
Oh, I can't wait. I can't We're going to watch all 170 episodes.
11:53
What about for you when you saw that fan right now? Oh, it's just fantastic. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, this is um no one
12:00
could have seen it coming, right? So, and and you know, how many years later? Still here. Yeah. And uh still to the back of the room
12:07
people, fans. We we have we're very grateful. Very grateful and lucky. Favorite episode that you uh were part
12:13
of? Uh a couple episodes. There was there was my favorite one was uh when Diggle
12:19
finally joined. There was an offer that Oliver Queen made joined. Why did you? Well, because I I think
12:26
that was um Look, I I knew this show was going to go
12:31
when when Oliver Glean in the in the pilot
12:36
took some dude by the neck and was like, "You can't know my secret." Crack. I was
12:42
like, "Small is done."
12:48
And I was like, "I want to be a part of that." Right. So I just just because it was something that on no network was
12:55
doing that period like it was just we were someplace else. Did Did get a chance to crack mix? No.
13:00
No changing. Um no do a lot of code and
13:08
all that stuff. John Yeah. What about What about you? What was your favorite episode? I think probably the pilot.
13:15
Really? Tell us why. Yeah. Well, I mean, just getting to wear the superhero suit for the first time.
13:20
Uh, we had a ton of time to film it. Um, and I just I just have wonderful
13:27
memories from shooting the pilot and the scene where I cracked the guys. We shot that first and uh yeah and I guess it
13:35
was probably on the second day and Glenn Winter, our director of photography, who directed the pilot of Supergirl, who
13:42
became a wonderful director for us, super super talented guy. Like I I just I remember him coming up
13:50
to me on the second day being like, I'm so glad this is good.
13:55
I said, what do you mean? He's like, "Sometimes
14:01
it's not good. This is good." If we had like 11 more
14:06
days to go. Um I think the pilot and then um
14:12
I think like I really really loved being the pilot of
14:20
the Flash. I really like that. That was Why did you like that? Well, I got to give Barry Allen his
14:25
superhero name. You're welcome. Okay, there's that. Um, so that was good. And I just, you know, it was also
14:31
too, that was David Nutter again directing that and he took a bunch of our crew. We
14:39
were in the middle of our second season and so just going there knowing that, you know, our show had graduated, was
14:45
onto a second season and had been picked up for a third and then coming back and making the first episode of this series
14:50
was Yeah. Chef's kiss. Yes. All right. Well, you know, you also put on a different
14:56
type of uniform. I think it was the Casey Jones uniform. Yeah, I think it was. Yes,
15:02
I think I think I think cuz I saw in the floor there was a Casey Jones cosplayer. There's been a couple.
15:07
Yeah, there's been a couple. I I don't know the Are there any Casey Jones cosplayers here? Is there any Oliver Queen cosplayers in the house right now?
15:14
Look at that. Well, we'll got to correct that soon. Tomorrow, guys. You got one more day to fix that. But nevertheless,
15:20
you know, you go from putting on the uh the arrow costume and then you got that mask, that iconic mutant Ninja Turtle
15:26
mask. Tell us about that. How was it to put bringing him to life again? I mean, that was an amazing experience.
15:32
We shot that in New York. Uh it was between season 3 and season four of
15:38
Arrow. Um it was just an amazing like it was just an amazing experience. I think
15:45
every actor at some point in time needs to shoot in Manhattan.
15:52
Oh yeah. And it was something like I used to and David can attest to this. This was my
15:58
first big job and I was I was wound
16:04
pretty tight in in in the in the early days of things. Like if I heard a phone vibrate on set, not ring
16:11
vibrate. Yeah. What's going on? And then you go shoot Manhattan. Oh, yeah.
16:18
And and uh and then I I I relaxed. Yeah. No, I hear you. I used to I used
16:24
to live in New York City for about 20 years. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Lived in Manhattan. No know what the building across the street was
16:29
for me. The ' 80s uh TV show, sitcom, Jefferson. Oh, cool. That building you see when the U-Haul's
16:35
driving on the street and then they look at the tower that right across the street from I know. We filmed in New York. We filmed um we
16:41
filmed at a bar where that had been in
16:46
Teenage Mut Ninja Turtles are the Shadows, Crocodile Dundee, and The Godfather
16:53
all shot. Nice. Nice. With ours being certainly the most famous.
16:58
Of course. Of course. Yeah. For you, sir. you know what would you know obviously you play Diggle you
17:04
know all that good stuff there but that whole idea like he was teasing you know that the code and the moral of the
17:09
heroism I think maybe his character need a little more edge get cut loose a little bit maybe oh not at all not at all no I mean there
17:17
was enough edge okay here right I mean it's um I think he had to have the ying right because he was all yang is that a
17:24
thing anyway um no I think I think you needed that moral compass you needed someone to
17:30
say And I also think I think Jim Cricket Yeah. They're dividing. I think um you
17:37
okay, Stephen? You all right? Okay. Okay.
17:43
I think you just needed that. Yeah. Right. You needed someone. And also I think I think John Diggle said the
17:50
things that the audience was saying, right? He was the most normal. Was that kind of your viewpoint of him?
17:55
Like speak for the audience? Yeah. Yeah. Well, look, right, you got Oliver Queen, you know, Bruce Wayne and
18:02
Olive Queen, maybe two top, right, fighters in the DC universe. Then you have Felicity Smoke, smartest person on
18:09
the planet. And you have John Dickle who kind of this regular guy who from
18:15
wherever city he was from and you know did a couple of tours in Iraq. I just kept bettering himself. So he was
18:21
kind of the the normal guy. The compass. Yeah. It was weird too because it was it was for for a while
18:27
there. It was like um when there was a crime or a scene like Arrow would show
18:33
up clad in leather and have the bow and and then Colton Haynes who played um red
18:40
arrow. He would show up clad and red very heroic. And then here comes John
18:46
Giggle with a bomber jacket and a clock.
18:53
So there was a while there when you know you just kind of needed that normal thing wrong. Yeah.
18:58
All right. Well, we'll see. All right. It's going to be your turn to ask some questions. So, you want to start lining up here again? You have the young lady
19:05
with the microphone. I think we're good to go. I don't have to buy some time for you guys. Oh, no. I guess you're ready. Look at that. Eager.
19:12
I'm going to join that line, too, in a bit. All right. Let's start it off here, sir. Go ahead.
19:20
You good? All right. He's good. Okay. Uh, my question is, uh, Stephen,
19:27
what was your reaction for bringing your character to other shows in the Aerrowverse like The Flash, Supergirl,
19:32
Hero Tomorrow, you name it, crossover specials just such as Crisis on Infinity
19:37
versse. I mean, listen, man, the crossovers were always great. Greg Rante used to say that his favorite thing
19:44
growing up was when a character from his favorite show would show up on another one of his favorite shows. So, those
19:50
were for the fans. And I always loved um I always loved doing the crossovers,
19:57
man. It was busy. It was so It was usually around this time of the year. It was like October and it was busy for
20:06
about a month. It was like six days a week for about a month. And uh but you know, I would
20:14
always I I just love going to different sets. It's like going with your friends for a sleepover. You know what I mean?
20:20
like different cooking, you know, different bed. Um, it was really fun. I
20:26
really enjoyed it. All right, good question, sir. Who's up?
20:32
Hello. Um, I saw you earlier. Her name is Emily. Nice to see you again. Um, my question did get taken by you, so
20:39
I'm going my second questions. Can you say your iconic line? I failed
20:45
the city. Have you? Can you? Oh, yeah. you you will fail the city.
20:57
Hi guys, thank you for coming today. Uh I have a two-part question. The first one is regarding the Diggle character.
21:03
Um in the fan universe at the very beginning, there was some speculation that uh Diggle would end up as a part of
21:11
the Lantern War. I just have a question regarding was there ever an internal discussion if that was ever going to
21:17
occur? And the second part of my question is uh was it odd to have you to
21:22
see yourself as an action figure? Curious. Yeah, I answer the first one first. It
21:28
was very odd to see myself with an action figure at the time when the action figure came out. Uh my son was about four. Why I thought it was smart
21:36
to give him the action figure at 4 years old. I would never know. Um it ended up being in pieces in about 3 days. The
21:43
action figure. Um, the second part of the question, the Green Arrow, a Green
21:49
Lantern verse of it all. I mean, we only teased it for six years.
21:55
Um, that was it was very political. It was just a political thing. It was a big huge property. Some folks said yes, some
22:02
folks said no, but it was um it was genuine and it was sincere in terms of
22:07
what we gave the audience. We just we just never had that person to green light it over at at the executive level.
22:14
And um but now it's I'm I'm looking forward to it. HBO Max with James Gunn and here in Pierre. I'm really looking
22:20
forward to it and I I hear nothing but good things so far. Good stuff. So Stephen, what was it like doing a few
22:27
episodes with the great golf? That was amazing, man. I'll never forget the first scene we shot. He had this big
22:33
long speech and I never met him and
22:39
um he just nailed it. And then you know It's important when you're working
22:46
sometimes. I mean, you're working, right? So, it's it's sometimes difficult to stop and, you know, smell the roses,
22:54
so to speak. But like, in the finale of season 5, I think I stopped at one point
23:00
like, I'm fighting Drogo. I'm fighting He-Man.
23:06
Yeah. This is amazing. You're fighting Drogo. Yeah. Yeah, great.
23:12
Kick the up, too. Good job. Got it when he was older. Yes, sir.
23:18
Hello. I just want to say first off, I love Green Arrow. One of my favorite shows that I'm re-watching now,
23:23
actually. And Stephen, I know you're a huge wrestling fan. And I want to ask, who is your goat in the WWE? Who's my
23:30
goat in the WWE? Man. Oh, man.
23:37
I'll tell you, I don't Cena's making a real argument
23:45
right now because I don't know what happened with his retirement year that
23:50
he's doing, but sometime around, well, specifically when he fought Cody at SummerSlam,
23:57
every single match that this guy's doing right now is like a fivestar match and
24:02
no one's ever done that. So you're talking about like a 20 plus year career
24:08
where you are going out with your fast ball still in the high 90s. I mean he's
24:15
way way up there. Um and then you know but like
24:22
currently I grew up I'm like a Hulk guy still still to this day.
24:28
Yeah. Uh I know in 2015 you got a Slammy award, right? That's right. That's right.
24:33
That's That's right. That's right. Celebrity moment of the year. I think that's what it was. That's exactly correct. Hey, thank you.
24:39
Tell me more. Oh, here we go. U teamed up with Cody Rhodess. I did. No. No. I I fought I fought
24:46
against it was me and Michael against Stardust and King Baron. Yeah. Kenny Omega. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
24:51
Yeah. And then uh Yeah. Yeah. You're You're going to risk your marriage, aren't you? Yeah.
24:56
Yeah. I know you are. I know you are. All right. Up next. All right. It's good to see both of you all here. So my question is if y wait
25:06
right so my question is um if y'all were to join another fandom universe which character or world would you want to
25:11
have another universe? Another fandom universe. Yeah like MCU or Star Wars.
25:20
Okay. Another fandom universe. Does seven count?
25:28
Who would you be? Morgan Freeman.
25:33
Gold. Um,
25:39
you witness. That was great. Um, probably
25:45
that's a great one. Another Phantom Universe. If it was
25:55
X-Men. X-Men. If it was X-Men. If it was if it was uh if it was if it
26:04
was Star Wars, it would be Mace. I think Mace is still alive.
26:10
So, I mean, I'm just there's theories that I just I just think he's a dope character. Harry Potter.
26:20
Harry Potter.
26:25
Uh, Dobby. I just I'm just trying to be cool for my
26:32
kids. Yeah. Yeah. I All right. Next question.
26:37
All right. Uh, Stephen, I know you were passionate about heels. I wanted to see if you would be up for season 3 if it
26:44
did get picked up and Oh man, I would I would love to do it. I really really would. I don't think that
26:49
it's I I I don't think that it's going to come to fruition. Um but that show is really a really really special
26:57
experience and uh you know it just goes to show that um you know the network
27:04
that you're on, the time that you launch, like all of that stuff matters, you know. Um,
27:10
we're lucky to get a second season. Um, people bring it up all the time. I'd
27:16
love to be able to do more of it, but you know, the further away we get from it, the
27:22
less likely that becomes. Bummer. All right, next question, sir. This is for the Arrow and the Spartans.
27:29
Um, obviously Smallville had a long history and influence on superhero TV shows. so much that it came back in the
27:35
crossover. In in a couple of years, if another superhero series came out and they wanted to bring you back for a
27:40
crossover, would you want to come back as your original characters, Arrow and Spartan, or Spectre and Green Lantern?
27:49
Man, I've never had that question. Oh, that's a good point. Well, you you dig in. I'm Arrow.
27:55
Yeah, I completely agree. Yeah, you know, something for me is Spartan.
28:00
I I think um unless of course the Green Lantern is terrible, then it's going to be Green Lantern, but I think Green
28:06
Lantern's going to be great no matter what. Um but for me, it's smart. All right, good question.
28:13
Hi. Sorry. Did y'all get to take home any props from the TV show?
28:19
What did you take? Stolen stolen.
28:25
Yes. All right. What What did you take? Um there
28:32
um the gun that Spartan used is based off the decker gun from Blade Runner
28:37
and um is mine now.
28:42
You Stephen? Uh I borrowed the bow from the pilot 13 years ago. Wow.
28:48
Where's it at right now? None of your business. And uh when I went back for the final
28:56
season of The Flash, I I took a suit in a suit because when we wrapped filming,
29:02
I asked Blley for a suit and they said no. That's really no.
29:08
Yeah. Uh uh you just type in an email, you know. I know. Um
29:13
well, look, it would have made me happy, Stephen, if you took the flash.
29:18
Oh, man. I say this every time I'm on a panel. It had to be the funniest thing I've ever seen before in my life. Seeing
29:25
you in the Flash. It was hilarious. We're trying We're filming a scene and
29:32
there's like imminent danger to Star City the world. Okay, cuz it's one of the
29:38
crossovers and I'm seeing my entire a cast for the first time in the suit and
29:43
I'm trying to for the lions and I'm looking at them and they are all covering their faces.
29:50
Like I've been in and out for like four or five days. It's not new to me. It wasn't funny.
29:56
It was to them. It was to them. I'm I'm over it. All right. Yes, sir.
30:02
Hello. Uh this goes this green arrow unsparted. Besides the Flash costume, is
30:07
there any different costumes you guys would have wished to try on just for fun?
30:13
Good one. Super power.
30:21
Super had a fly off. Um,
30:29
come on. You know something? Um, Ragman. Ragman had a great outfit. I would have
30:34
loved to have kind of what that was about. Stephen Hawkman. Han.
30:41
Hog man. Yeah. And I David and I have never laughed as hard as we laugh during a scene with
30:47
Hawkman. What was the most funny about it? That's Man, I'm missing all the wrong
30:52
questions here. All right. Yes, sir. Hi. So, uh, how many push-ups can you
30:59
guys do right now? None of your business.
31:06
Think I asked a question. Uh, push-up challenge. No way. Fair enough. Thank you. Moving on.
31:14
How about recovering? What's up, fat? You got fat gum. Hello. I hope this I hope this one doesn't
31:20
answer none of your business, but uh what's both y'all's favorite flavors of ice cream?
31:26
Oh, chocolate chip. [Applause] [Music]
31:32
Ryan won't get a clap, but his, you know, his cookies are free.
31:41
This is a question mark for David. So, uh, when you were playing Yong on the show Dexter, at what point did you did
31:48
they tell you that you already, um,
31:54
what point I didn't, but it was funny, too, because every every uh, lunch break, we had the next episode of social
32:01
the show. So, we would come in and read the scripts. They didn't send them to us. There was very confidential. So, we had the had to the uh had to read it
32:09
during lunchtime during the winter and everyone would go to the back to see if they died or not. Everyone except
32:15
um I didn't know I didn't know but um it was a great show fun.
32:21
All right. Hello, sir. Hello. Um, I wanted to ask about your experience as uh filming um the scenes
32:28
for Leon U and um how you think it affected the character that the place
32:34
that made him he kept coming back to even at the end. Yeah, I mean I I always liked when we
32:42
would go back to the island in the present day thinking about like season 5 specifically where he has to fight Prometheus back on the Anu. That was
32:49
really cool. Um, filming it was uh those were not the easiest days, but
32:56
they were fun. They were very rewarding. All right. Thank you, sir. Thanks, man.
33:04
Hi, guys. Um, one question um for David
33:09
for the uh Spartan character, did you was there ever a discussion for a spin-off like to have your own show and
33:16
continue your character, see where that would lead to? Yeah, there were a couple things. There was there was Lantern that
33:22
obviously there was very political. Then there was another show that was on the bubble called Justice U. That was a spin-off of the Dickle character. Um CW,
33:30
some things happened with that. Warner Brothers has some changes. So neither one of those shows happened. Um the same thing with Canaries. Canaries also was a
33:37
has a had a back door pilot that was a very real show. Um both of those died with CW revamp.
33:43
Yeah, I get that. All right. And uh for Stephen um you know you talked about the pilot and
33:49
everything else and you know I wanted to ask you how was it working with uh a legendary martial artist uh Darren uh I
33:57
always get his name wrong Darren Shali rest in peace. How was it working? I mean, so I fought Darren. Uh, he played
34:05
Adam Hunts heavy in the pilot and uh, man, we went at it. And the the cool
34:12
thing about the pilot was I was up in Vancouver for about 3 weeks before the
34:18
pilot. So, we did fight prep training
34:23
and uh, man, that guy could go and treated me.
34:29
Spoiler alert, he could kill me. Um, but he was he was a wonderful to work with.
34:35
Really really special. Good question, sir. Hello, Stephen. Met you yesterday. It
34:40
was great great seeing you again. And um specifically about the crossovers with Supergirl in the Flash. What's your
34:46
favorite memory of working with Grant and Melissa if you have? Um, yeah. I
34:51
think my favorite memory overall would be the
34:56
aside from the the Flash pilot would be when Barry and I switched
35:02
bodies because that was like because then we fold in Supergirl as well and
35:08
that was like that was a full departure for me. That was like a buddy cop comedy
35:14
thing that we were doing and playing Barry Allen and just being super awkward
35:20
and apparently looking very awkward in the Flash suit.
35:25
Apparently, that was that was just such a treat. That was such a treat. Thank you, sir. Thank you.
35:32
Hi. Hi. Of course, for both of you. During the show, do you guys sometimes
35:38
do your own stunts? Yeah, I mean we do our own stunts to to
35:44
the extent that we were allowed. Um I was young and stupid.
35:50
I liked to do as many of them as possible. Um yeah.
35:56
Yeah, there were a few. There were a few that we did. There was a lot of martial art stuff that that we did. Yeah. But um I mean jumping off overpasses and
36:03
landing on cars and windows exploding out of it, which my which both of our guys did. A lot of that we left to our
36:11
guys for obvious reasons. Yes. Yes. Thank you. Good question, sir. Thank you.
36:18
Yo, so uh first off, Mint Child's amazing. That's my favorite, too, right? Uh but question is uh for both of you
36:25
guys, who was y'all's separate like favorite villain like at the end of like
36:30
every scene, you know what I mean? Yeah. Go ahead. Yeah, we I think we have two different
36:36
ones. Mine was uh Deathstroke. might have been easily a man. I think uh season two I just think he
36:44
came to the show and didn't think did something else to the whole mythos.
36:49
Uh Michael was Prometheus. Yeah, I really like that. Like I I I was I was very proud of season 5 of of the
36:57
show and I was a huge fan of the idea that
37:02
Prometheus was a villain that was created by
37:08
Oliver's actions. I thought that that was very fitting.
37:13
All right, thank you for your question. Thank you. Hello, Stephen. I have a question for you. Sure.
37:18
What was your favorite part of the teenage digital out of the shadows?
37:23
Um, I mean, oh man,
37:31
shooting in the turtle layer was really cool. Um, but basically when we were
37:37
filming that, uh, over the course of filming when they when they found out that I was kind of
37:45
attuned to doing my own stunts, they actually like built out a sequence where
37:50
I'm trying to evade BBOP in Rock City uh, on my on my rollerblades that I
37:56
fashion. And uh we shot that out in a pier like Pier 52 or something like that
38:01
in Manhattan right on the Hudson River for like an entire week. And you know
38:07
cars are exploding and being shot everywhere. And it was just like they they hired a
38:13
second unit director and a stunt director and a whole crew just to shoot that sequence. And so that I mean it was
38:20
like I've never worked that hard uh on set ever. It was amazing.
38:28
All right. Thank you for your question, sir. And you, Spider-Man, you get the last question of the panel.
38:34
No pressure. Last question, man. You know, I'm huge today hero show and for the Flash
38:40
Supergirl Legends come tomorrow. They're really one of my favorite. And I have a question for Stephen and Dave. It's
38:47
about crisis and better earth. There's one of my favorites. So, how do you feel about fighting each other for Crisis
38:55
Infinite Earths? What was your Can you repeat your question one more time?
39:00
The the Crisis Infinite Earths back in 2019,
39:06
right? Yeah. So, what what do you want to ask them about? Um, how about the
39:12
Oh, just the experience of it. The experience? Oh, okay. Experience it. Yeah. I mean that you know if you
39:20
haven't seen it sorry but I died twice.
39:26
Yes you did. Yeah, that that you know honestly that that was such a wild shoot
39:32
that there were there were parts of that that I didn't even know I didn't even know until I watched like
39:40
some of the stuff Lucifer showed up and like um you know that that
39:46
Yeah, we went there looking for you. Oh, really? Yeah, we went the hell looking for you. Okay, cool.
39:51
Did you find me? No. No. Um yeah, man. I I had a I had a
39:58
different pitch for that with uh I had a different pitch for that with Welling
40:04
with Tom Welling. Like what was your Yeah, it was like it was like I was like
40:10
trying to like trying to my character was trying to navigate the afterlife and I was like sitting and
40:18
playing poker with him and Lex Luthther or something like that. That would be fun. I know.
40:25
I really I really I wanted to I really wanted to share the screen with
40:30
Tom. Yeah. And then it you know what what they ended up doing was really cool that share the screen you
40:39
um I just think it was what about that? It it was
40:46
crisis was great. I mean all the cross was great. It kind of what do I think about it just kind of being away from it
40:52
now. Um, I just don't think it's been done as well any place else. Can I say that? I
41:00
think we did it really well. You know what I mean? Like it was it was just very well done. And um, and I think
41:07
that the sendoff that we ultimately got in Flash later on on one of our episodes
41:13
directed by Danielle Bavagger, I just think was just a wonderful send off for our two characters which was connected
41:20
to crisis in a sense. So, um, a wonderful experience was crisis and I think we ultimately got our companies in
41:27
the flash. Yeah. Awesome. Thank you for that question. Yeah, of course. Uh, Steve, before I let
41:33
you go, one more time, you want to mention about the graphic novel, the uh, you got cooking. Yeah, we got a graphic novel coming out.
41:38
It's uh, you know, Tales from Lincoln City. It's Garrett's origin story. Will be accompanied by uh, Robbie's graphic
41:46
novel as well, which is Connor's origin story. We answer some questions, you know, uh, how did my character be Sliff
41:54
in the first movie, um, you know, Robbie's relationship, his character's relationship with his father. Um, it's
42:00
good. Good stuff. Yeah. And and and we have like a wonderful team. I don't have the names right now
42:05
at my disposal, but it's um it's a real graphic novel done by like
42:11
and we're go to your table and get more information on this stuff. Once again, give it up for the cast.
42:18
[Applause] If you did not ask question,
42:23
[Applause] go down there, go meet him, all that fun stuff. Once again, give it up for Steven
42:29
and David. [Applause]
