Hello, my name is Tiana Kamacho and I'm
0:03
the voice of Be and Nessa in Pokemon. I
0:05
Corora Ray in Destiny Rising. Trans in
0:08
Transformers. I play Frenzy in
0:10
Transformers Earth Spark. And I'm the
0:12
voice of many wonderful characters like
0:14
Lily in Street Fighter 6 and Hermes
0:16
Costello and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure,
0:18
Stone Ocean, and many, many others. And
0:20
I'm very excited to answer some
0:21
questions today. What's one show you had
0:24
a small role on that you wish you could
0:26
have been more involved with?
0:30
Transformers Earth Spark. So, Frenzy is
0:33
a character type I don't often get to
0:35
play a lot. Um, I don't really get to be
0:38
a silly little guy a lot. Uh, I tend to
0:42
be like really stoic and really hardened
0:45
and tough or I'm always a warrior, which
0:49
is like, okay, those are the really
0:50
meaty roles. There's a lot going on
0:52
behind all of the mask that they put on
0:54
to survive through the world. and I get
0:57
to unpeel that and make them vulnerable
0:59
and that's really rewarding as an actor.
1:02
But in real life, I'm just a silly
1:04
little guy. So, I feel like with Frenzy,
1:07
I had this opportunity to play myself,
1:10
which I don't really get with a lot of
1:12
my characters. She was just like a
1:14
mischievous teenage girl who liked emo,
1:17
I guess, and would watch cage fights and
1:20
ran away from home and went to drive-in
1:23
movies and was basically like living
1:25
among the Terran for a little bit. And I
1:28
really wonder what that was like. And I
1:30
also feel like the dynamic with
1:32
Soundwave was really interesting because
1:35
this is a home that she kind of escaped
1:37
from. What was really going on there? I
1:40
would have loved to explore that more.
1:42
just talking as me, Tiana the actor, but
1:44
I really love the work I already did on
1:46
it. And I feel like I don't think I'd
1:48
want to touch it and do anymore. The
1:50
writers did what they did because that's
1:54
how much they had for the character, you
1:56
know? But man, being Frenzy was so much
1:59
fun. I just miss her so much. You voiced
2:03
video game characters in games like
2:04
Fallout 76 and Pokemon Masters. Which
2:09
one of your games is your favorite to
2:11
play?
2:12
This is a hard question. Uh, but it's
2:15
not a hard question because I mained
2:17
Cammy in Street Fighter for 10 years
2:19
before I booked Street Fighter. So, as
2:22
it turns out, it's Street Fighter 6 and
2:25
I main myself because I realized I was
2:28
playing Cammy like a really fast
2:30
grappler, but that's literally just what
2:33
Lily is. So, I realized that Lily fit my
2:36
play style better. And I wasn't trying
2:38
to be a malignant narcissist to me like
2:40
I made myself in Street Fighter. It just
2:43
kind of happened that way. So, I now
2:45
made myself in Street Fighter. You've
2:48
been a part of iconic games like Fire
2:50
Emblem, Call of Duty, and Demon Souls.
2:53
Which one gives you the most bragging
2:55
rights? I don't know because honestly,
2:59
it's all kind of like a blur to me. I
3:01
work on a lot of stuff. Um, I will say
3:07
I'm really proud of the work I did on
3:10
Starfield. Um, because they had me be a
3:13
variety of characters that were all
3:14
pretty different and distinct from one
3:16
another and that game was like two years
3:19
of my life. I don't know if that really
3:20
gives me bragging rights over it or ones
3:23
that I would brag about the most. Um,
3:26
but you know, there's games that I feel
3:28
like I've put a lot of myself in and a
3:31
lot of myself into as an actor, and that
3:34
would definitely be games like Street
3:36
Fighter. I really, you know, like I
3:37
really care about the franchise and the
3:39
IP, so I put a lot of myself into Lily.
3:43
Um, things like, uh, all of Starfields,
3:47
there's a lot of myself in Sophia Grace.
3:51
Uh, I really personalized that character
3:54
and made her really real for me, but I
3:57
don't know if it's something I would
3:58
have bragging rights about. There's just
4:00
sessions and games that are more
4:02
memorable to me because they mean a lot
4:04
to me in my craft. What advice would you
4:07
give to your former self when you were
4:09
recording your first roles from your
4:10
college dorm?
4:14
You have no clue where this is going to
4:16
take you. It's going to be really crazy.
4:20
It might even be an adventure and it
4:23
might even be quite bizarre. Uh you will
4:27
meet people in your life that matter a
4:30
lot to you and people that you think
4:31
will matter but will not. But at the end
4:34
of the day, you will be living your
4:35
dream and you will have all the things
4:37
that you want even if they take a little
4:39
longer to get there than most would have
4:42
that. So keep doing what you're doing
4:46
and follow your ambition. You have no
4:48
clue where it's going to lead you. When
4:51
signing autographs, what quotes do fans
4:54
ask for the most.
4:58
I tend to have a couple on deck so that
5:00
they don't really have to ask me. And
5:03
usually the ones I pick are the ones I
5:05
remember most in the session because
5:07
they were the most fun to do. So because
5:09
of that, they don't really have to ask
5:12
me um for a quote. Sometimes I get some
5:15
Nessa quotes if I don't have any on
5:17
deck, but for the most part I kind of
5:20
just have a lot of fun with it and the
5:22
fans have a lot of fun with it and they
5:24
trust me to put the best quote on there
5:26
and they leave happy every time. And
5:28
that's it. Thanks so much for having me.
