About Ballard

The Bosch spinoff series centers on Detective Renée Ballard, who leads the LAPD’s cold case division. This unit operates with limited resources and tackles a high volume of unresolved cases. Ballard’s approach is characterized by empathy and a strong resolve to find justice for victims. As she investigates these cases, Ballard discovers a broader conspiracy that poses risks to her unit and her safety. She seeks support from her former ally, Harry Bosch, to help navigate the complexities and threats arising from her inquiries. Alongside her, Samira Parker, a tough and determined character with a complicated past regarding the police, returns to the LAPD to rectify past mistakes and pursue justice for families affected by crime.
