Synopsis

Welcome To Blue Dog Valley, Home Of The Fighting Elk, Population 3,411. When Goldie Mckenzie, Dvm, Leaves Los Angeles On A Hungover Impulse she expects a reset—not a culture shock. Struggling to build a client base and connect with wary locals, Goldie feels like a permanent outsider until a tense emergency with a bloated dog proves her skill and begins to earn trust. Soon her practice fills with the valley’s quirky animals, from pampered pigs to sweater-wearing goats, and she starts to find her footing—despite ongoing friction with Cohen, the town’s stubborn, frustratingly attractive grump. Hoping to breathe life back into the fading community, Goldie proposes a Christmas carnival to bring everyone together. As plans unfold and resistance softens, the event becomes more than a last-ditch effort to save the town—it’s a chance for Goldie to build a home, and possibly something deeper with Cohen.
