Synopsis: Oliver Barnes is a could-have-been-great tennis player whose life never delivered on the promise of his youth. Now 35, he teaches lessons at a third-rate outfit in the San Fernando Valley under his old coach and alcoholic father figure, Nick. Oliver finds himself at an uncertain juncture: remain on his destructive path and end up like Nick or muddle his way toward becoming a different kind of man. Into this moment steps Jack, an immensely talented young tennis player, and his mother Nina, who might offer Oliver a path toward a new beginning. But first, Oliver must confront the traumas of his past.
