This feature film follows 12-year-old Indiana as she moves from the city to the riverside town of Otterville. Once renowned for its otters, the town now faces the emptiness left behind by their absence. The unexpected return of two otters sparks a flicker of hope among the residents, reigniting their connection to the local environment.
As Indiana and her friends work to protect the otters, they confront challenges from a predatory developer, a corrupt mayor, and even Indiana’s father, the town sheriff. The narrative explores themes of community, resilience, and the fight to reclaim what was lost.
