Saved by the Bell Cast Reunion: Gosselaar, Lopez & Berkley Talk Fame, Dustin Diamond, and the Reboot
Jun 29, 2025
Mark‑Paul Gosselaar, Mario Lopez, and Elizabeth Berkley reunite for a lively and heartfelt Saved by the Bell panel at GalaxyCon Oklahoma 2025. The trio shares behind-the-scenes stories from their time filming the iconic teen sitcom, opening up about what it was like to grow up on set, navigate fame, and reconnect years later for the 2020 reboot.
They talk openly about Dustin Diamond’s absence, the impact he had on their lives, and the tribute paid to him in the reboot. They also address rumors stemming from his book and confirm the cast remained close and respectful throughout their time working together.
The panel also covers why the reboot was canceled after two seasons, how their characters evolved, and what it was like working together again as adults. With plenty of laughs and real emotion, the cast shows just how much the series—and its fans—still mean to them.
📍 Recorded live at GalaxyCon Oklahoma on March 30, 2025.

hi everybody hi how's it doing how's it going good thank you awesome great have you guys
0:17
been uh enjoying your time here so far we have we have how is everyone
0:26
amazing amazing go Thunder yeah this is an exciting weekend to be here
0:32
right there's a lot going on yeah but the game's not here though no not not the next one that's too bad that's I
0:37
know i know um so I kind of wanted to start by asking uh you guys filmed in front of a live studio audience right
0:46
we did every Friday night we um had a live audience uh was you guys wasn't it
0:52
two tapings no we just back to back did we do two no no during the day when we do it without a
0:59
sort of each scene individually and then at night they would do it in front of the the Yeah I think they they did scenes during the day to kind of lock it
1:06
in and then we had that great fresh energy of like live theater with a studio audience it was like a pep rally
1:12
it was all young kids and it was really fun was there like a certain amount of
1:18
time that you guys were able to film because of Yes because we're under 18 i
1:24
mean we we have we had the rare show where we were actually playing the age that we were um and so you know so many
1:31
shows people are 25 playing 15 I mean we were 15 16 17 so uh the child labor laws
1:38
I think at the time were nine hours a day and three of those had to be school so we were in a school room together
1:45
doing our homework with our tutor Sydney Sharon and then they'd you know someone
1:50
had to break to then go do a rehearsal um they had to get up you know from
1:56
social studies and drop back into Zach
2:02
remember that yeah I remember [Applause] it was such a great uh education we got
2:11
so much great education now nothing against Sydney Sharon who was our teacher for the many years that we did
2:17
he was amazing amazing he actually wrote our algebra 2 trig book from the school that I got my work from so he's he was
2:24
brilliant but for someone like me that could steal the answers to the test like
2:31
look in the back yeah that's basically that was my my schooling
2:36
i like that we're at least admitting it to you all you know it was easy to cheat
2:42
dod do you have anything to say about that he was a great student what are you talking about except for math math i was not math uh I needed all the help I can
2:49
get i can I have to count like this on my fingers i'm the same um was there like a a part
2:55
of the set that most felt like at home for you guys whether like in a classroom or at the max or in the hallway
3:03
jesse's bedroom for sure [Applause]
3:08
when you It felt like home okay what do you mean damn I mean when you would
3:14
climb through the window didn't that feel like home i seriously don't even remember you had a bedroom on the show i
3:20
want to show you it was mauve with posters no it's fine i'm going to look
3:25
that's where she almost That's the I'm so in my bedroom that was in her bedroom
3:32
okay you see
3:38
yeah while she's doing that while she's googling um okay so if the three of y'all could
3:44
each put something in a time capsule from your time on the show what do you think would be like the ideal thing to
3:51
have in a time capsule we did that didn't we on the We did on the episode
3:56
oh my gosh that's an amazing question like on the reboot I don't know how many of you saw it but um it was on Peacock
4:03
uh a couple years ago and it was a time capsule episode and we actually shot it on the lot where they did Back to the
4:09
Future at night it was a night shoot do you remember that what was the couch
4:20
that was your bedroom it's interesting because that bedroom actually was Zach's bedroom they would
4:25
just switch it over right wasn't that
4:32
That's an O there's never any time i don't have time to study i'll never get
4:42
Jesse calm down jesse no it's just caffeine pills get
4:49
over it that's what I would have been doing you see the bedroom you see the
4:54
bedroom [Applause] just
5:00
[Applause] pull together
5:07
done we're good we had to get to the moment man i just wanted to make sure you saw the bedroom
5:13
yeah of course uh what was it like coming back to do the reboot
5:18
it was fun you know just like uh when you see your your old high school friends that you actually went to school
5:24
with because essentially we all sort of grew at the same time because we were actual high school kids um and uh it was
5:31
neat you kind of pick up where you left off and uh I think it could have uh gone
5:36
at least another season you know but the streaming uh world is uh is uh tricky and fickle to say the least um but uh
5:43
proud of the couple seasons that we did and it was it was a lot of fun because Mark Paul directed an episode so it was
5:49
great uh just to have that ease and comfort and flow together you know he knows these characters better than
5:55
anyone but yeah what did you say
6:00
that means you're good because you can't even remember that means it was seamless yeah it was great um it was it was a lot
6:06
of fun it was hard because it was during co so there were all these protocols and I mean it was hard but it was joyful to
6:14
be back together so uh Mark Paul was it was that something like you always
6:19
wanted to do did you always want to be a director or is that something that developed through doing the show or other
6:25
uh I I've always wanted to direct i I I should have always pushed more to direct
6:34
some of the things that I was in i really should have directed like when I was doing NYPD Blue I should have directed that pitch i tried a lot of
6:41
these unfortunately a lot of my shows are one and done meaning they're one season and then we're finishing up um
6:48
generally on on like my contract or or I'm sure it's pretty standard at least
6:54
that's what they tell me um is that the second season actors will be able to potentially direct if that's something
7:00
that you want to do so the first time I did that was on Franklin and Bash and then I directed some other things and then um Save by the Bel that was
7:07
definitely part of the contract that I was going to direct and then I just directed Found um and I was scheduled to
7:14
direct more of those um but uh it's always something that I want to do it's just it's a it's a timing issue you know
7:20
with acting it takes up most of the time then directing you have to sort of book something well in advance um and
7:28
sometimes I just can't predict what my schedule's going to be so I don't um so before we get to questions from
7:34
y'all if you guys want to start lining up obviously the three of you guys were the ultimate fashion icons during the
7:40
time so I want to know if there is like a piece of like a wardrobe or clothing that you'd like to see make a resurgence
7:47
from that time and something that you think should stay in the '9s that clothes was awful
7:54
so I had to do this campaign recently right for um I want to say it because
8:00
No no but the whole thing was like a throwback to the to the era because in other words like if you used to wear
8:07
these back in high school then you might need to go get checked up on this i was like so I couldn't believe that so I
8:16
could pay okay great so then I was trying to look for Z
8:24
cabariches right and I couldn't I figured they would be easy to find but they were so hard to find so I couldn't
8:30
find them and I told him "Yeah I'll wear these this and that." And so long story short I ended up ordering some women's i found some women's but I come come to
8:36
find out they look exactly the same nobody could tell so I bought those and stuff but yeah those were atrocious they
8:42
should never come back the worst the worst yeah I've said this before but no girl
8:47
in adolescence would want to wear Z Cavaris i mean really or or boys yeah um
8:55
but what did I like from that time i'm just trying to think um
9:03
I don't know like you know from the video you know put your mind to it go for it uh those
9:10
leotards could make a comeback you never know
9:16
it was totally inappropriate for like 15year-olds in those leotards do you guys remember those
9:23
i mean I don't know
9:28
all right hey what's your name what's your question my name is Chris from Kansas City we
9:34
can't hear the mic in the crowd chris Palmer there we go walker all right can
9:39
you guys hear me yes good great fantastic my name is Chris from Kansas City and my wife and I of course are big
9:45
fans of the show growing up and it's been really fun to share the show with our kids as they've gotten a little older as they've gotten to be kind of
9:50
pre-teen and teenagers what's your experience been like sharing the show with your kids have you have you done it
9:56
and and and what's what would you like to share about that experience because I was wondering what that was like for you
10:01
my kids don't want to see me on TV at all my wife's trying to get them just to you
10:08
know there's your dad and they're like no we're good and my my mom has tried so they don't they I don't know if they
10:15
just get dad overload but they have no interest in seeing me
10:20
um yeah yeah same my my four kids I mean they're
10:27
just like oh yeah cool um my son is kind of styling his hair a
10:33
little bit like Zach Morris so I'm telling him he has Zach Morris doing his hair for him which is not every kid
10:41
going to school can say that um so but other than that he's not impressed with anything else that that or Yeah so um
10:50
with Save by the Bell I mean my son loves to watch everything um about the show even the reboot he he Yeah i mean I
10:58
don't let him watch everything I've done but um
11:03
he stayed by the bell he He's allowed to watch let me know let me know when he can watch and I'll watch
11:10
like a good uncle i'll be like his his guide
11:17
excellent question thank you what's your name hi there my name is Dan my question is for Mark it's about found uh how
11:24
would you how did you get into that role of playing uh sir like what was your motivation for that character
11:31
it was I mean everything we do is pretty much on the page but I did ask when I
11:36
looked at the script and I was considering doing the role i asked the showrunner um who inspired her to write
11:44
that role and who I could possibly use as a muse and she said Ted Bundy and so
11:50
that was where I was able to kind of figure out like oh this is a guy that uses his charm his looks to sort of
11:56
disarm his victims and you know like how how does how how does he get to do what
12:02
he did um and she said if you follow Ted Bundy you'll understand like how he was
12:07
able to disarm his and the psychology behind him how he was able to do that to his victims and how they allowed him to
12:14
sometimes like break through the barrier um so that was that was it
12:22
hi my name is Lauren i'm from Kansas City um I know Zach and Kelly were the
12:28
couples so not to take away but AC Slater and Jesse were my jam and I
12:33
absolutely loved watching um you guys really bring the arts to TV um not to take away from
12:40
today's version of the arts but dancing is really like clip by clip and it's really edited and Tik Tok has taken that
12:48
so far which is great but as a dancer I really appreciated seeing a lot of scenes especially with YouTube in one
12:54
take clean cut beautiful um I'd love it if you did something now but you don't
13:00
have to i would just I would just love to know was that part of like being casted cuz your guys'
13:07
chemistry was also just so amazing too so but what I also love about film is sometimes things just naturally come out
13:13
like oh my gosh we should have so many like dance scenes like especially in the restaurant they go to or was that so was
13:20
it like random or did you guys have to like have a dance background to get the parts to be a couple i I want to say I
13:26
want to sort of uh you said that these two had chemistry i I did a podcast
13:31
where I talked about that i totally get what you're saying about them being a better couple than Zach and Kelly i I No
13:38
no no i would watch the show because I did this podcast i had to rewatch you guys really did have like really good
13:44
chemistry on on on the show and I was like it was fun to watch you guys cuz you guys would be in the background and be like giggling and touching each other
13:50
and stuff like that and Zach and Kelly never did that because I think also Tiffany always had her boyfriend on set
13:57
and so I was afraid to touch her i was like "Let me just can I Is it okay
14:02
if I do that?" You know cuz he was always there remember that you guys just had this like fun little banter always going like "No I I I'm with you." The
14:10
Slater and that was I think we're we're the most immature so I've I'm like a
14:16
5-year-old and she is too sometimes so I think we bring that out of each other um we always have even now in my 50s maybe
14:23
maybe I'm eight years old now but in terms of like when we were cast
14:29
dance was not a prerequisite it just I think our writers were really good at
14:35
paying attention like watching us you know seeing us interact all of us and
14:40
seeing and learning about us and what our natural talents were or things we were working on outside of um filming
14:48
you know I would be at dance class or he was at wrestling or you know like I they
14:54
would integrate things organically that they would witness in us you know or different dynamics friendship dynamics i
15:00
mean we've also always been close and I think they brought sort of that sort of
15:05
friendship of um you know Jesse and Zach and and then yeah I think that that was
15:13
a gift of our writers paying attention to what's in front of them because to not use it would be you know would have
15:19
been a shame so I think that happened with friends too the show yes and so I think a lot of the shows where you see
15:25
cast dynamics that that work on screen I think that they're
15:31
for the most part that there there's a really great dynamic offset too
15:36
yeah that you can't fake you know cuz Yeah thank you
15:44
i'm Josh right here on Oklahoma City Thunder season ticket holder so very fortunate this not conflict with a
15:50
home game but uh I want to ask you We know we know where you'd be right
15:56
sure yeah budgeted accordingly but uh I want to ask you guys uh what was it like
16:02
and do you have any good stories from Malibu Sands and Palm Springs
16:07
well you know it's funny we just were in Palm Springs at a Comic Con and I was
16:12
like we should have done we should have stayed at what was it the Marriott Palm Desert for old time sake um do you want
16:20
to speak to Malibu Sands no anytime you got to get out of the classroom was a lot of fun so that summer we were in
16:25
Malibu was a lot of fun and uh or travel by Palm Springs like we did a movie I
16:32
think and uh we were in Vegas um so yeah that always makes it a lot
16:37
more fun it's like you're in camp i remember Vegas and we were just talking she says "I don't remember
16:43
Vegas." You'll remember Vegas because at the time we all broke uh while we
16:48
because we were watching the OJ chase that's right we all went into a hotel room and we were all watching on this TV
16:54
the white block remember that yeah of course that's how I remember I remember I was in New York
17:01
watching that yeah well we made you guys was I in the Vegas one i don't know you
17:08
You were in the You were in the wedding you like came in and like the as they were getting married i I did something
17:14
else in Vegas [Applause] that's what I remember
17:21
i always remember that we were just
17:27
you were doing research for another Yeah okay off
17:33
you got to IMDb that I'm just going to keep
17:39
googling things thank you
17:44
thank the wedding i know yeah but she was too expensive for the entire thing so I just
17:52
per scene so Oh my god
17:58
my name is Jamie and I grew up watching your series and my late husband owned
18:04
the entire series and he loved the show um my question is who are your favorite type of characters to play
18:12
sorry to be a retro late husband first of all but um listen I think whenever you have the opportunity to work in this
18:19
business and be um employed uh at the time that's your favorite character
18:26
at least for me I'd like to focus and kind of take them all um on a case by case basis and not take it for granted
18:32
after being here you know all these times but for me personally I've always tried to kind of mix it up whether
18:38
that's acting or hosting a radio show or hosting my entertainment show or producing movie whatever the case may be
18:44
i think that's the beauty of this business there are no rules so you can sort of flex those creative muscles in
18:49
different ways plus I've always had sort of hustler mentality so I like to do a bunch of different things so um I like
18:56
to keep it changing and you're always just kind of uh growing at the same time
19:04
um yes i'm sorry about your husband and I'm I'm glad that with this show it was
19:10
something that you guys shared some joy um I know that the show I've had a lot of people today come up
19:16
to me and just say like "Oh my gosh you guys saved me during high school or different things that they've gone
19:22
through in their life and that the show kind of has served as this um reminder
19:28
of joy." So um or something that family or people can connect on so I know we're
19:34
all grateful to be a part of a show like that and speaking of you know other roles in other things um yeah I think
19:42
the the point I mean personally too I I look at every new role as a growing
19:48
experience you know whether it's the people you're around or different filmmakers i've worked with some really
19:53
extraordinary filmmakers who you know uh take your work to a new level as well
20:00
i love collaborating with amazing filmmakers um and other actors and you
20:06
know these guys have my heart in a whole different way because it's childhood and we still love and respect each other um
20:13
so you don't you know that kind of history is something I don't take for granted but yeah it's it's great like uh
20:20
each new circumstance is like the first day of shooting on anything feels like the first day of school jitters um as
20:27
you're starting to embody a new character as well um but it's why I love
20:33
acting i like to mix it up not just do one thing yeah I feel the same way about both of
20:38
them i mean I just did keep it um short i I just feel so lucky to be able to do
20:44
what I I love to do and um I think it's you know definitely a blessing every time I'm able to walk on set so I I
20:51
don't take it for granted thank you
20:56
what's your name hi folks i'm Travis from Emerllo Texas and uh now what what
21:03
what was the inspiration behind the time in timeout thing that that Zach occasionally did on the show it was
21:09
Ferris Beer with it yeah i I when I first read the script I don't know that it was Ferris Beer but when I read the
21:15
Say by the Bell script from Mispos to Say by the Bell it was like "Oh wow i get to play Matthew Broadick i get to
21:22
play Ferris Beer um for television." So that that's that's what I thought because that that I was a huge fan of
21:28
that film and and him breaking the fourth wall and doing that you know uh did he freeze no he didn't freeze he
21:34
just talked to the camera but the whole freezing of you guys I I don't know i don't know i think we had to because
21:42
Yeah i don't remember who came up with that device of because I mean we had to really freeze like they didn't do any
21:50
special special effects of like you know I mean if you couldn't even move a finger right
21:58
great question hi my name is Heather um I'm from
22:04
Oklahoma and I would like to know what was your favorite uh episode
22:12
um we kind of get asked that a lot the one that resurfaces I think I like I like when we got in a fight that was fun
22:20
cuz it was a pretty good fight i don't remember anything about that episode except for the fight i don't even know
22:25
why we were fighting um I don't know i mean I've said this
22:31
probably in the past so forgive me if it's if you've heard it before but I don't remember specific episodes
22:36
remember specific times so whenever we were offset right we've talked about this with like the beach episodes the
22:41
Palm Springs Hawaii all that anytime we were not on the on the lot of where we
22:47
were shooting and even when we weren't shooting really uh there's special moments that we all have like you know
22:54
like in the in the in the halls of the NBC and seeing like the Tonight Show and
22:59
being right above like where they were filming those moments I remember but I don't remember specific episodes or work
23:06
i remember things that happened sort of in the surrounding uh parts of doing the show speaking of the Tonight Show not to
23:13
go off on a whole tangent but it was I remember it was so exciting to see five
23:19
days a week who the guests were going to be and I then we could meet them and I mean that was really exciting for See I
23:26
remember um being excited to see what car Jay Lennon was going to drive true
23:31
true he had a different car pretty much every day and they were wild and his
23:37
spot was right near ours so I just remember like going to the commissary too and you'd see actors in there that
23:44
you soap operas or other shows or you see executives or people that were running the network like in in the
23:49
commissary which I thought was really cool yeah well um but I I think the um she's done with you
23:57
that's a wrap up thank you thank you copy until the episode okay stand by the music's playing music
24:05
uh my name is Stan and I'm from Kansas uh I kind of froze here now that I'm up
24:11
here uh my question was similar to hers uh what uh uh collectively or
24:18
individually did you guys have uh a specific due to the writing of the
24:23
episode or whatever a favorite or even one that you felt uncomfortable
24:28
acting out uh due to the writing
24:34
um if there was anything that you didn't like about an episode or Yeah I didn't like wearing those spandex like when we
24:40
had to do like the the swan swan swan thing or like wear those tight baby blue
24:46
uh I look at photos of that now I'm like why did they even why would my parents even sign off on it there's pictures of
24:52
us with our shirts off i'm like I was 15 what were they doing my parents are like
24:57
yeah take your shirt off show Little Nipple it was
25:03
It was the '9s yeah it's a '9s um I don't think there was any episode
25:10
that was uncomfortable you know we were lucky because it was so innocent the show was so um you know earnest and kind
25:19
of I like that about the show i've shown my kids my kids are all over 18 now oh
25:26
wow but uh yeah I enjoy the streaming we still watch it my wife and I still watch
25:31
it streaming and it just kind of brings you back right it does i used to look forward to Saturday mornings i love that
25:39
yeah thank you so much yeah i don't think anything uncomfortable though but just a lot of joy very good it's a
25:46
pleasure to meet you guys
25:52
hi hello i'm Nicole i'm from Dallas Texas and this is going to be a non-show
25:57
related question at this point in your life what is your biggest achievement
26:03
my kids and my wife biggest achievement [Applause]
26:11
they're happy and healthy and that's all that uh is really important in life i can relate to that because I'm a twin i
26:17
have twins so that would be my biggest achievement in overcoming cancer
26:23
god bless you thank God thank God if you want uh yeah you can oh you
26:29
already know how to You're a pro hi my name is Hannah from Mahon and I
26:36

26:58
thank you thank you for your question you are going to give her your favorite food
27:04

27:11
kind of complicated cuz I was like I just think I really You're going to the electric chair tomorrow what are you
27:17
eating i already thought this out i've played that tacos i already know i'm going to tell
27:23
you what I'm going to start it off with i'm going to start I'm going to have some bomb tacos okay
27:28
i know a specific place a specific place some tacos no I'm just I'm just specific
27:34
Paul's asking specific tacos all right followed by um What kind of tequila are you having this is a plug tequila kasa
27:42
Mexico tequila it's the best try this tequilo yes all the above have the crystallino
27:48
the new crystallino that just came out incredible this is your meal sir you can have a flight of I'm going to have a
27:53
flight and you'll have like a sip of depending on what you're eating well for each taco I will have a different Okay
27:59
flight and then I'll have tacos be one type or fish taco beef taco i'm going to have I'm going to get I'm going to get
28:05
nasty with it i'm going to have um carellada cavesa langua and which is Oh
28:12
they know what's up do they got Latinos in Oklahoma oh damn
28:18
i guess we do okay I'm spread out but um But um yeah so the tacos and egg the
28:25
tacos the tequila um I'll probably have some maris like a like a shrimp cocktail
28:30
and then I like the fried Oreos those dessert you get some fried Oreos too those are for the dessert those are from Lava those are crazy yeah so and then
28:37
you kill me and then I'm dead that's your That's my go-to you ever thought about that i thought about it very much
28:44
[Applause] i can't top that
28:49
i'm like a real I'm like a fat kid inside though cuz I love to eat so yeah
28:59
come on what's your name hello my name is Lucas i'm from southern Oklahoma and
29:04
my question is uh between your normal everyday casting and your special guest who was your f favorite to film with
29:12
yeah in the in the show yeah in the show sorry who um as far as guest stars who
29:18
was our favorite between your everyday filming and your special guest who was your favorite what do you mean by everyday filming like who was our
29:24
favorite to work with every episode and then special you mean like either us or guest stars yeah who was your favorite
29:29
actor within the show to ever have worked with i think you would have to explain your question
29:36
so you're basically like in other words like I like Mark
29:41
that's basically it did you like working with me or Tiffany better i need the truth i'm like is that
29:47
what you're really asking your favorite film with all me right both of you would say me yeah Elizabeth all day all day i
29:55
like Kevin the robot it was great i'm going go with building
30:02
actually you know what uh Dennis was always really fun to work opposite we were l We were lucky we were super lucky
30:08
think about it this guy I mean he's so amazing he had to deal with six of us right but six here's a here's a fun
30:15
little fact uh when he started Sar by the Bell he was 15 years younger than we are right now
30:22
damn it's crazy
30:28
[Applause] um but no he was he was amazing because he you know it was funny like we were
30:34
all kind of we were actors but he actually studied to be an actor like he
30:39
was a he was a real deal so he never but he never made us feel like he was acting
30:45
down right he always made us feel like we were He was always real cool he was very cool very respectful he didn't talk
30:52
to us like little kids never talked down to us and like treated us as equals and when we were on set we'd collaborate we
30:58
were all messing around at times and that would be hard for him you know what I mean cuz you're looking at you think about it yeah no but he he was always
31:06
wanting to be supportive too you know um it's been a while since we've seen him and we love him was it like Fallon maybe
31:13
the lust but there so we all agree but anyway he he's Yeah Dennis is the man thank you we
31:20
Yeah we we always say this thing hop up also like if anyone was going through stuff he would have this saying
31:28
"Hey hop up." Uh Brian from Oklahoma um I had to write my question down because I get nervous uh Zach and Slater had
31:36
such a classic friendnemies romance constantly competing but always having each other's backs was there a favorite
31:42
scene or episode where that dynamic really clicked for you guys and how much of that chemistry was natural wait so
31:49
are you saying that we're supposed to like who are we supposed to pick or what get on him about his That was pretty
31:56
direct that was that was that was pretty direct he needs to gentlemen in front of him actually get that well I mentioned
32:03
earlier the fight scene so that was kind of the one that sort of stuck out in my mind i think we made up at the end of
32:08
that episode didn't we so I'm sure we did or else we wouldn't be able to have another episode
32:14
but uh yeah that one and uh I mean look you can't fake chemistry so I think all of us really did get along all of us
32:19
really did like each other so there was never any issues or or drama behind the scenes and I think that was a big part
32:27
some some of us liked each other a little too much uh at times which would create drama as well you know because
32:33
we're all we're all like teenagers right and you're working with like
32:39
you know and then like wow and then uh then I remember talking about you our
32:45
our producer i remember the time that we all got pulled into a room the producer was like "Guys knock this off you need
32:50
to talk to him and she needs to talk to that." We did you were Protestant i do remember wait who was having problems we
32:57
because we were like who's I was cool with everybody you're crazy yeah you there were times where girls remember
33:04
the girls weren't talking and then talking like it was a whole thing there was some wedges i don't remember that
33:10
like like any high school experience and then with you know come back to the love right but there was there was a talk at
33:17
one point i don't remember that i swear I thought it was cool anyway he was he was he was he kind of just
33:23
went like this he was he was smooth thank you all right we got about five minutes left so we're going to try to
33:28
get through as many Let them get through them Dud don't get pontificated start googling things
33:36
go a diet tribe hi I'm Megan um I live here in Oklahoma City but I'm from Boer
33:43
City Louisiana and this is a fun fact like um for Mark V whenever you filmed
33:49
um St tam Miracle in Shreveport Louisiana me and my sister and my mom
33:55
were extras in that movie and we actually got to meet you back then i was like seven or eight so was that nice
34:06
i remember I couldn't say anything i was so shy but um yes um so my question is
34:12
did y'all take any um momentos from the set
34:18
i don't think any of us really took things from the set i think um No they g
34:24
remember they gave us like Letterman's jackets that's funny that's the only thing I Letterman's jackets as like a
34:29
wrap gift but yeah we didn't take stuff from the set and I wish we had I wish we had taken more you know knowing what the
34:36
show would then become but um at the time we just we didn't know if we were going to do more or or not so I think we
34:43
had to like just not touch anything that's it yeah five five minutes done
34:48
thank you good to see you again do you see another years [Applause]
34:54
okay hi um I'm Audrey and I'm from OKC um if I'm being completely honest I
35:01
haven't seen the show so that's okay you have something to look forward to yeah i want y'all without giving me a summary
35:08
or like trying to inspire me um I want y'all to convince me to watch it
35:15
that's creative i like it who wants I was just going to droop away
35:22
listen if you want to see teens playing actual teens and a very innocent vanilla
35:29
Saturday morning vibe with a very diverse and happy cast that actually got
35:34
along then that's your jam honey [Applause]
35:41
[Music] [Applause] i mean I can't top it is what it is it
35:46
he He got it right um and if you want to feel some goodness and joy right about now the world needs more of it right now
35:54
return to that show and uh for the first time you'll get to kind of go back in a
36:00
time machine to a time that was more simple thank you are you going to watch it
36:10
miss Berkeley uh my name is Frank and uh I am a case manager at a drug rehab in
36:17
Tulsa and thank you i want to thank you for
36:23
the hot fudge episode the hot Sunday episode i have used that clip so many
36:28
times in group really yeah absolutely yes ma'am seriously oh my god we talk
36:33
about um the difference between the way you know alcohol and other drugs are portrayed in media and the reality of
36:40
the situation and so thank you first off for that my question really quick for Mr
36:45
lopez and Mr gosler i love the college years i know everybody's going to hate me after I say that
36:54
why did that get so much hate damn Luke had a lot of hate well did I
37:01
get hate or it just didn't maybe because I wasn't on it probably
37:06
that was it that was it on learned our lesson you know sometimes you learn the hard way thank you
37:15
my name is Colobby ironically enough I'm actually a mental health professional as well and so uh thank you guys for what
37:21
you do thank you um my question for you is the I'm so excited episode um about
37:28
Jesse's addiction is one of the most iconic and emotionally intense moments in the series uh how did filming that
37:34
episode affect each of you personally and did it change how you how you
37:40
approached your characters or the show's time moving forward
37:45
wow thank you for such a thoughtful question um I think
37:51
personally I I was very excited to um no pun intended um to
37:59
have something really emotional and kind of um deeper and so just as an actor
38:06
I've always been looking for that i love I love comedy but I also love to go deep and um that episode
38:14
that that episode to me just
38:19
[Applause] wrap it up that episode that episode to
38:25
me I just loved as an actor getting to be um just more vulnerable and and expose something that needed to be
38:31
talked about and I feel like because we had a lot of trust between us or had um
38:37
we we could go there together and it was safe yeah I too love to go deep
38:44
[Applause] i feel like I was in the infancy of my of my acting so I didn't really um
38:51
understand the gravity of what we were shooting which is probably good for a scene like that um but uh yeah that it
38:58
was you know it's been a long journey since then i probably treat that scene differently now but I'm glad I didn't
39:04
because that was the innocence that kind of was up on screen thank you so much thank you all right we
39:10
got a minute we got three questions i think we can do it go ahead this was quick uh JP I'm from Oklahoma City uh or
39:17
Yukon and uh this is one from Mario first off thanks for giving Zach an interview yesterday really appreciate
39:22
that um secondly are you going to death row because you used Mark Paul as your
39:28
attorney oh wait i was talking about my last meal
39:34
i thought you were talking about death row records i'm like yeah yeah uh no that was a hypothetical
39:40
sir i haven't committed any capital crimes so I will not but if I did I would hit up Mark Paul as my attorney
39:50
thank my name is Daisy Diablo i'm from a cabin Texas i'm here circling back uh
39:55
from the Ted Bundy thing how does that does that affect you mentally or like how you viewed your character
40:03
uh I'm not going to lie there were times while we were filming things that it really affected me uh thankfully I
40:10
filmed the show in Atlanta i live in California um and there would be times where especially like dealing with the
40:17
young children on the show and some of the things that I would do um and then
40:22
just yeah the second season was a little tougher than the first the first was uh a little more contained in the second
40:28
season that kind of went off the rails um but there there were times that it was difficult yeah but that's what
40:34
YouTube's for i'm watching Tik Tok all right our final question then we're
40:40
gonna take a big group picture with everybody what's your name my name is Sophia i'm
40:45
from Oklahoma and I watched all of the episodes of the show i just want to know
40:51
what was your favorite part of the film in the show favorite part honey episode don't don't
41:00
answer her question i'm trying to understand i think we liked being at the beach i didn't understand it that Malibu Sand is not Lucas lucas
41:08
favorite part like you know the part when they said you're wrapped my
41:13
favorite part no no we all had fun at the beach we all had fun at the beach i think the beach
41:18
was probably the most fun but better question what was your favorite i know I can give you an answer that somebody hasn't said before i remember a favorite
41:24
part of us was after the show we would all come out and we would like they would call us out um I think first would
41:31
be Mr building and then you'd get to like bow in front of the audience and you'd get to like they they everybody
41:37
would clap and cheer and you get to talk to people and remember that like we'd all stand there and we get to like kind
41:42
of connect a little bit more with the audience it's like a play when you like a play and that that was actually fun sometimes uh you go out there and the
41:49
energy would be really good so at the end of the show that that when you said rap that memory of like waiting to hear
41:57
your name being called and then you come running out one by one we'd come out and then just bow then on Friday it was it
42:03
was on a Friday night so then sometimes we'd all go eat together that was a fun part too at a 50s diner you called Ed to
42:09
be thanks for well this has been so much fun we're so
42:14
honored to have you guys [Applause]
