us the story how'd you get here my friends nobody cared about me i was not reached out to i did audition period i

think I'm the only one who auditioned um no not true i received the copy one day and

I went down um with my husband into our booth and I put on a little dress and read the script and connected with the

character and was inspired and um enjoyed the scenes that I was given and

I actually read for Lulu Land when I auditioned for this show and I had such a good time and um I was like okay here

we go i didn't know what it was and I booked Keiny who is a chair of who Viv

Viv Madrono plays so I went in I recorded Keany and I got to work with

this guy for the first time in life so and I too was in a little dress and and

he too was in a little dress what a coincidence to me and side note after my

first session I went home to my husband and I said "Honey I work with this guy

his name is Richard Horvitz i'm in love with him i want to work with him every single day he's just the most incredible

voice director he can pull anything out of anybody he brings so much joy." And then I [Â __Â ] Googled him and I was

like "Oh my god oh my god he's everything." So that happened

and then my agents called me like a couple days later and said "Hey they actually would like you to voice the

role of Millie who plays opposite Moxy." So this show uh was something auditioned

for i had no idea what I was signing signing up for but it has been an incredible blessing and I'm so grateful

that I get to work with this guy a really

um I was very fortunate cuz I always knew that someone that grew up watching

my shows would someday be a creator of their own and that was the case with Vivian Madano who was like deep into Zim

and Billy and Mandy and um she uh knew that she always wanted to work with me

and she had this character of Moxy and so she was working with Maxwell Adams

the creator of uh Billy and Mandy and she said "Hey do you know um how I can

get in touch with Richard Horvitz's reps i have this thing I want to do and uh she went to my uh agents and they sent

me the script and um she was convinced I wouldn't do it because Moxy has to say fuck." And

um I'm like "Wow she saw me at home that would not be a surprise." But um but um

but then I really liked it a lot and I liked Viv's vision and I it was one of the best decisions I made to join join

um the cast and then I also asked her if I could voice direct and she said yes absolutely so that's why I got to be the

voice director for a bunch of the shows uh for for both um Hasbin and Helva but

mostly I get to work with this one let's hear it and we get to sing together which is

You go um what's interesting is at Broadway when you're working with the stage door

you you sign a quick autograph here you sit with the people who have watched

your show over and over and over again you guys know the series better than we

do and and in Broadway you don't have to do the Q&A so sometimes y'all come with

a question and I'm like "Fuck Richard what happened in that episode?"

Uh yeah you just said Moxy so the the fandemonium is really insane and it's

something that I appreciate because it really helps you to understand the impact that the work that you do has on

the greater good you know I I never knew that my imp character actually changed

people's lives and people come up to me and they say you know I was I was having a hard time i I didn't want to wake up

and your character um I relate to her and I feel seen and I feel heard and

you've got me through some dark times and so I think that's one of the biggest difference is just the time I get to

spend with the people who consumed the show uh for me um yeah we had a we had a

really we still have a really cool Zim uh following um Ricky Simons who played

Gur and I we were on the road for like 15 years doing conventions before we

ever came back to do Enter the Florpus um and so I really got the opportunity

to um meet the fans and a lot of our our Hell Boss fans are Zim crossovers also

been great i Yeah it's been wonderful and and the weird things that we've signed I can't even go

just it's a wonderful group of people to work with and uh the safe the the space

is very safe that we record in you know um people can often times have imposttor

Richard and Viv make that space so warm and fuzzy that um you know we're just playing pretend that's all we're doing

you know that we get to work together um it would be great if we could all record at the same time which we don't because

just uh schedules don't permit it anymore and half of us are on the East Coast half of us are on the West Coast

of the uh monsters cuz they had to match the lip flaps see that's one of the animated characters because now you got to try to sync it up with your mouth

people don't realize is that when we go in and do video games um that's it we get a session fee and if and and video

games account for billions of dollars a year they make more in video games than they do in motion pictures so video

games are the number one thing so from everything from the developers and the voice actors and everything we just get

that salary we don't really get to participate in any of the um the you

know the rewards of the financial rewards other than our session fees so

AI so a lot of times you know they're going to do a new game or they're going to do a prequel and they go "Oh we'll

just lift those lines and we'll just AI them and put them in here." And there's like as the contract stands now we have

no we're still fighting to protect that can we I mean there are good things about AI don't get me wrong there's good

things about AI but like anything if you know if you open a door it becomes a very slippery slope

yeah scary it What scares me the most about it there's two things with AI that I really really despise one is deep

fakes i think that's very dangerous i think it's very very very dangerous and

the second one is that it puts it's going to put millions of people out of work and that's the biggest problem right there deep fakes and putting
