Synopsis of “Token White Friends”

Marking a new phase in the realm of television storytelling, CBS and Kapital Entertainment, in collaboration with TrillTV, are brewing an exciting new production titled “Token White Friends”. This compassionate story, based on true events, unfolds the journey of a Black couple who adopt a white child, taking a break from the conventional broadcast narratives.

Adding a touch of reality and heart-warmth, the couple reaches out to their three white college friends, with whom they’ve lost touch. The aim? Bringing them into their growing fold, their ‘village’, fostering a diverse and unified support system that transcends racial boundaries.

The brains behind this unique narrative are maestro producer Aaron Kaplan, in concert with Wendi Trilling, Cedric the Entertainer and Eric Rhone, substantiating their commitment to television narratives that inspire.
