Synopsis of “Dog Called Valentine”
Imagine a tale weaving love, laughter, and life’s unexpected turns. This is exactly what the production “Dog Called Valentine” brings to the table, beautifully produced by CME Spruce Productions and Champlain Media East. The story takes off with a volunteer at the shelter, Lily, who decides to foster an unwanted Valentine’s Day present herself – a poor dog dumped at her doorstep.
Lily dares to believe that a little attention is all this dog needs to transform into a loving pet, ready for a forever home. And helping an animal in desperate need might just be the distraction she needs from her own worries. But life isn’t just as simple. In a twisted turn of events, Valentine, the dog, proves to be more than she can handle. The woes start when he destroys her home and shows displeasure with grooming.
In a surprising revelation, Valentine behaves better with a stranger. Love, pride, and courage entwine when Lily swallows her pride and seeks help from the stranger, Shane. Losing his canine partner had upended Shane’s life once, making him turn to books and remodeling his grandmother’s home. His life had become a saga to avoid dogs and risks.
Despite it all, he finds himself unable to ignore the misunderstood mutt at the park and his well-intentioned, but with no luck handler. Shane soon realizes that apart from teaching Lily a few tips and tricks, he might need to muster the courage to care and get invested again. Subtle hints of romance, friendship, and shared dreams are in the air. Will Valentine find his new home? Will Shane’s life go back to his new normal? Only time will tell.
