Synopsis
In “It’s Not Like That,” life takes an unexpected turn for Lori, who is finding her footing after a fresh divorce while raising two teenagers. Meanwhile, Malcolm, a recently widowed minister, is trying to parent his three children in a world that feels all too new. The once tightly-knit families, who spent countless moments together, are now on separate paths filled with challenges and emotional complexities.
As Lori and Malcolm navigate their individual journeys through single parenthood and the intricacies of Malcolm’s role as a modern-day spiritual leader, they are forced to confront their past connections and the possibilities that lie ahead. Could this be the start of something new between them? Or is it simply a chapter in their lives marked by laughter, heartache, and self-discovery? “It’s Not Like That” invites viewers into a relatable yet uncommon tale of connection, resilience, and the sometimes confusing nature of love.
