Synopsis: Set on the brink of World War II in Berlin, the true story unfolds in a city turned into a powder keg after the assassination of a German attaché in Paris, which is wrongfully branded a “Jewish terrorist attack” by Nazi propaganda. Pettyfer plays Kai Lehmann, a young and impressionable police officer, who, alongside his superior Lieutenant Krützfeld, played by Owen, navigates the turbulent streets of Berlin as citizens turn violently against the perceived “enemy within,” descending on Jewish neighborhoods. Markovics portrays Isaac Roth, a Jewish man caught up in the day’s terror as he is wrongfully accused of murder. As chaos engulfs Berlin over a harrowing twenty-four hours, Krützfeld and Lehmann are confronted with a profound moral dilemma: uphold the system or take a stand for what is right. Kristallnacht translates as Night of Broken Glass, a reference to the thousands of shops, businesses and synagogues destroyed by the Nazis across the two nights in November 1938.

Synopsis
As the shadow of World War II looms large, Berlin transforms into a powder keg of tension and violence. “Kristallnacht” tells the harrowing true story surrounding the events of November 1938, ignited by the wrongful branding of a political assassination as a “Jewish terrorist attack.”
In the midst of this chaos, we meet Kai Lehmann, a young police officer portrayed by Alex Pettyfer. He grapples with his ideals as he and his mentor Lieutenant Krützfeld, played by Clive Owen, navigate the turbulent landscape of a city spiraling into madness. Jewish neighborhoods become the focus of an increasingly hostile populace, leading to a palpable sense of dread and injustice.
Among the throng of panic is Isaac Roth, brought to life by Karl Markovics—an innocent man ensnared in the frenzy, facing wrongful accusations that threaten his very existence. As the violent acts unfold over a relentless twenty-four hours, both Krützfeld and Lehmann find themselves at a crossroads, forced to consider the weight of their choices: will they stand with a corrupt system or take a moral stand?
The term “Kristallnacht,” meaning Night of Broken Glass, symbolizes the destructive nights that shattered Jewish lives, businesses, and places of worship across Germany. This gripping narrative approaches a pivotal moment in history, exploring the essence of courage in the face of relentless prejudice and brutality.
