Synopsis

In “La Femme De,” we enter the life of Marianne, the picture-perfect wife of a wealthy industrialist from Lorraine. As she approaches her 40th birthday, the luxurious but confining walls of her family estate become a relentless reminder of the life she has built—one that is both envied and stifling.

Marianne’s existence, characterized by admiration from others and the fulfillment of her duties as a devoted mother, slowly turns into a golden cage. Just when she starts to question her seemingly idyllic life, a figure from her past reemerges, sparking a longing for freedom and self-discovery.

As she grapples with the notion of an alternate life, the pivotal question looms: What sacrifices is she willing to make to reclaim her identity and happiness? The film promises to explore the intricate balance between love, ambition, and the hidden costs of societal expectations, inviting audiences to reflect on their own passions and choices.
