Synopsis of “Most Likely”

A tale set in the nostalgic backdrop of the early 1990s, “Most Likely” reveals a poignant narrative of friendship, self-discovery, and love. Our introverted protagonist Henry Votto, a high school senior, travels to New York City to join Model UN with his effervescent companion, Max. As they contend with a growing rift in their relationship, they also grapple with the looming uncertainty of attending different colleges.

In an unexpected twist, Henry encounters Lucy, a charming individual with whom he decides to spend the night. Far from indulging in trivial flirtations, they choose to learn about each other, divulging fears, hopes, and dreams. The presence of an inebriated Max, while disruptive, does not deter their heart-to-heart conversation.

The story unfolds as Henry not only reconciles with Max but also emerges from his cocoon of self-doubts and uncertainty. Leaving the city with a newfound set of confidence, Henry’s metamorphosis encapsulates the spirit of youthful hope and resilience. Significantly, the story unfolds in New York, a city known for the opportunities and changes it brings to those in its embrace.
