Synopsis

What can you say about Sherlock Holmes? But our Sherlock is not that Sherlock, not yet. He is not yet The Great Detective. This is an origin story, of how Sherlock Holmes becomes Sherlock Holmes. Our Sherlock is 19 years old. He is young, raw, unformed, unfiltered, from a hugely dysfunctional family, a broken young man trying to find his place in this world, trying to make sense of the chaos, trying to find control again after his family was ripped apart by the death of his young sister and his mother, driven mad with grief, was committed to an asylum. Sherlock’s father Silas (Fiennes) is a scientist, explorer and self-made businessman, while his mum Cordelia (McElhone) is described as a devoted mother, artist and matriarch of the Holmes clan.
