Fraught with social misunderstandings and the ever-present fear of discovery, the three somehow manage to fall into a tentative rhythm, becoming a sort of family in the process. Their comfort is short-lived, however, when Nico falls ill and suddenly dies. Now, Wim and Marie must find a way to dispose of a corpse. With the help of a doctor, they think they have succeeded – but one tiny mistake means they risk being discovered, and so Wim and Marie find that they are the ones now being forced into hiding.
