Synopsis: By day, monsters stalk the fields; by night, humans farm in hiding. Sixteen-year-old Caleb, raised by kind Lynne and driven, fearful Gary, aches to see the sun. Secret dawn walks with Lynne lift his spirits and sharpen his work, until Gary discovers the risk and forbids it. Then Lynne reveals the truth: a buried meteor brought Caleb to Earth, and sunlight awakens his monstrous, tree-like power. Reeling, Caleb flees into daylight and collides with terrified survivors. Forced to defend himself, he gravely injures a man. Now hunted, Caleb must choose between the family who loved him and his true self.

About Sundown

Sundown follows the story of Caleb, a 16-year-old boy caught between two worlds. By day, he navigates a life filled with mundane farming tasks, while hidden monsters roam the fields. His relationship with Lynne, who offers him hope, complicates as his other caregiver, Gary, enforces strict rules to protect him from the dangers of daylight. The narrative takes a turn when Caleb learns that a buried meteor grants him unusual powers linked to sunlight. Following a traumatic encounter, he finds himself on the run, forced to confront his true nature and make difficult choices regarding his safety and family ties.
