Dina Shihabi was born on September 21, 1989, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She was raised in various locations including Saudi Arabia, Beirut, and Dubai. Her family has a rich multi-ethnic background; her father, Ali Shihabi, is half-Saudi and half-Norwegian, while her mother, Nadia, is half-Palestinian, half-German, and Haitian but raised in France. Dina describes herself as “Arab European.” Her father is a commentator on Saudi politics and a former banker, who was the chairman of Saudi Hollandi Bank.
Education and Career Beginnings
From a young age, Dina was passionate about films. At the age of 11, she began taking dance lessons from Sharmila Kamte, a renowned dance teacher at the Dubai Community Theatre and Arts Centre. She attended Al Mawakeb School, Emirates International School, and Dubai American Academy, where she performed in numerous school plays.
